This is the Dell Support site link with the audio driver you may need to download to solve your problem.
Please select the blue download button and choose the second option, download by browser.
Once you have installed your driver, please restart your computer after you run it.

Yes, it suppose to have sound. Try this: right click on My Computer to open Properties. Click on Device Manager. Expand Sound, Video, and Game Controllers. If you see a yellow bang next to a device, double click to open it. Select Driver and click on Update Driver. Have the computer search for the driver. Hopefully it is still on the system or you can put in the CD to have it search for it there.
