How to install games on computer?

Hi,

It just like other programs installed in your computer. You need a program/software of game installed on your PC ( PC games software usually packed in CD). Put your CD game on optical drive and has it installed on your PC. Then run your game, done.

Note that Some PC games need specific PC requirements ( See your game requirement before run it on your PC).

I have windows 7. On trying to install a game "panzers cold war" it tells me that the driver is incompatible with windows and would cause stability problems so does not allow the driver or the...

Hello bforgan,

If you are getting a message about drivers then your game is not the issue.
Your game may be trying to install sound or video drivers (Such as direct X) which are too old to work with Windows 7.
Try doing a custom install of the game and make sure it does not try to install any drivers while installing the game.

Thanks,

Pat

I installed the game (pc is running Windows 7), I have more than 1TB of memory left, but when I hit the play button in the pop-up menu all I get is amall bland screen for a second or so and then nothing

Depending on what PC games you have installed, you have to check the system hardware & software requirements ie. CPU, Graphic card, RAM & OS. for the particular game you had installed.
If your system have an intergrated or onboard video card, normally you will not be able to play high graphic eg. FIFA 11

Since you have not provide any info, on your system hardware & what game you installed.
My guess is that your video card does not support the game requirements and normally you get a black screen!! and unable to continue playing the games.

Hope it helps.

I cant install java games to my samsung champ phone........ what should i do? tried kies but not working. Also tried pc studio.

Just place a jar files(games or apps) on a memory card. Then just click on the apps or games it will install. Samsung champ will only install below 500 kb/apps or game, if you want to install higher than that just used this code by dialing *#52828378# you will go to Java Test Menu, then go to OTA test, change 500kb to 4000kb then save. You can now install as much higher than 500 kb but not more than 4 mb.

I have windows 7. When i try to play Nancy Drew: Danger by design a box pops up requesting i insert disc 1. There is only one disc! It seems to work ok on windows xp. Ca you suggest anything to make it...

From the Nancy Drew web site:

Windows Vista/7 Support Installing older games (#1-13) with Windows Vista/7.
While our older games are not completely Windows Vista/7 compliant (notably games #1-13), there is a workaround which has been successful for most players. Please take the following steps to manually install.
If you had previously installed, uninstall the game and then delete all remaining game file folders from your computer, including emptying them out of your Recycle Bin. These files may be in one of the following locations:
C:\Nancy Drew\
C:\Program Files\Nancy Drew\
In your Documents folder: C:\Users\Username\Documents\
Once this is done, make sure you're logged on as an Administrator for your computer and manually install by taking the following steps:
1. Go to your "Documents" folder and create a new folder. Rename the folder with the title of the game.
2. Insert game Disk 1 in your disk drive and open "Computer" from the "Start" menu.
3. Double-click on your CD-Rom/DVD drive, look for a Setup or Setup Launcher Installshield file. Double-click this file to start the installation process.
4. When install asks what directory you want your game to install to, click "Browse".
5. Navigate to the game folder you created by selecting "C:" drive, then "Users" (or User name), then "Documents", then select the game folder.
6. Continue forward with the installation process, when asked if you want to install DirectX, check "No, I will install myself".
7. Upon completion, uncheck the "Play Now" box, click finish and exit setup.
For game titles #1-5, follow these three additional steps:
1. Right-click the game icon that is now on your desktop, select "Properties".
2. Under "Properties", click on the "Compatibility" tab.
3. Check the "Run in Compatibility Mode" box and then select "Windows 98/Me" from the drop-down menu.
You should now be able to open and play the game. If you installed an older version of DirectX with the game, please go to Microsoft's Download Center to download and install the latest version of DirectX for your version of Windows.
