I have a frigairde gallery gas dryer-when i turn the start button-it makes a sound but won't start and than noise stops. after 2-4 attempts a few minutes apart-dryer will start. HELP!

It makes electrical buzzing noise when you press the start button. ... One would think that if it's the fuse that it wouldn't buzz at all but ... unplugged, re-assembled back, hooked back up to hose, turned on and running hot .... The belt was fine. ... few possibilities here,idle pulleys could be wearing,front drum guides could be wearing,back drum bearing,bit early for these problems though,but sometimes coins get lodged at the drum paddles inside located 120degrees apart which wouldnt be anything to worry about if you can verify this,hope this helps

sounds like you are having or go to have a motor problem repl/ motor

Sounds like you may have a motor issue, they can get lint trapped inside, and it causes the motor to overheat, and eventually go out. You can remove the top, then the front, and see if thats the problem. Usually, once the motor starts making noise, its time to replace. Right now, the packings in the motor are cold, and once they heat up, they stop making noise, so it could last quite a while.
