    re: kenmore model # 59672213200

I too have the situation that the refrigerator is not cool while the freezer on the bottom  is working fine.  I have tried to check the vents in both the freezer and refrigerator to be sure they are not blocked but i am 85 and having difficulty locating all of them.  Do you know why this would be happening other than vent blockage?  Do you have any recommendation?  Thank you for your time.

The fridge is not working.the freezer is working.in the freezer the cold air is not coming in the fridge.

fridge basics

the fridge and freezer are seperate compartments they dont share air there is a chemical filled filiment on your fridge u can see it at the back looks like a big grill that chemical is pumped around both fridge and frezer that chemical carrys heat energy it removes the heat from the fridge and frezer to the radiator at the back this radiator gets verry hot whyle your fridge / frezer becomes cold it shuld be 1 compleate system with better fluid flow in the frezer to make it cool faster

ok so the frezer is working but fridge is not it could be a few things 1 fluid not geting round the fridge lack of fluid or 2 a blockage

im no expert but knowing the basic science of fridges is a help i hope this has helped but like i say im not farmiliar with any fridge and models deviate but the science stays the same hopefully this steers u in the right direction

Our frezzer is working fine but the fridge isnt

the return air ducts are frozen, not allowing cool air up to the fridge
unplug unit overnight and let defrost, you can speed up the defrost time by using a blowdryer in the freezer compartment

The fridge is not working and the frezer has a low temperature

be carefull when you remove the panel inside the frezer it may be you have a build up of ice and the panel could get frozen to the ice, best idea is to turn off the fridge/frezer for 24hrs to let it thaw

Frezer cold and working but the refrigerator

It sounds like your fridge has leaked refrigerant gas. The leak needs to be repaired and then the fridge should be recharged.

Kitchenaid built-in refrig 15 yrs old cold freezer, warm fridge

it.s the frezer that makes the refer cold.the evap fan in the frezer moves that chilled air to the refer.if that fan is slow or any blockage inthe air ways it slows that process. Also the frezer should be close to 0 degrees if theres a defrost prob that would make fresh food warmer
