Question about Projection Televisions
PS3 was connected via hdmi to tv. Worked fine, until one day I had black screen, no sound. TV screen looks like no signal is coming in. Tried all troubleshooting to rule out PS3 issue, reset all settings to component cables. PS3 recognizes it is connected via hdmi, but when selecting it as a video/audio output it does not work. That indicates to me the hdmi port on the PS3 is still good.
PS3 has output settings and would need to be adjusted if you are coming from the RCA input. Check out www.sony.com/ps3 trouble shooting under display problems. I believe the solution is to turn on the PS3 unit and keep holding the I/O button for more than 5 seconds. I had the same issue going the other way.

hello, unplug all the cables from you ps3, turn the power off on the ps3 then turn it on press and hold the standby button on the front of the ps3 you will hear 1 bleep then 2 short bleeps after the short bleep relase the button, also turn your tv off then on again, when your ps3 comes back on plug the hdmi cable into your ps3 and then into your tv hdmi 1 on the tv go into the menu find hdmi click on this you should get a picture and sound hope it works
