Not very likely - Try the customer support at Fuji
or E-bay for people selling broken cameras.

The button for taking photos and zooming in fell off and is lost can this be replaced?

Hi, I've had the same problem - there are 4 legs that clip the zoom button on (which holds down the shutter button) and the ends of the legs snapped off. I didn't drop it or anything, just one day when I got the camera out the shutter button fell right off.

If you're in the US you can get a replacement part from here:
http://www.pacparts.com/model.cfm?model_id=EXZ110&mfg=CASIO&back=0&action=list_part

I think the part no: 10213210 is what you're after. Note that it's $8.50 (USD) and then they charge $11.50 (USD) to post it to you!

Unfortunately I'm in NZ and they won't sell it to me.

The botton that you push to take the picture came off. I have no idea where. Can I replace it, or is there another way that I can make it work?

The button comes as one whole unit with the power button. If you have lost the shutter action button then it's probable that you have lost the return spring for it too. I have 1 unit available for sale so you will have to remove the button yourself or replace the unit entirely. See "THE ONLY WAY IKNOW HOW..." In tips & tricks for email address. Thanks

The shutter button on my Canon Powershot A610 popped off. The part was lost. Can I get a replacement button?

Well this is a combination problem and solution. My daughter has a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX12 with the same problem. We called locally and e-mailed out of area camera shops and got zelch for help. The Panasonic people wanted $190 to fix it which is more than the camera is worth. So I would this place http://www.digitalcamrepair.com/ located in Euless, TX. The owner is Mike and he has about 3000 broken digtial cameras that he scavenges parts. He fixed our camera by replacing the top (it is all one piece) with a shutter button and it works fine now. From the time I sent it to receiving it back was one week and the price was $73 including shipping. Hope this helps.

Shutter button lost

Most shutter buttons are plastic discs attached to a spring-mounted plunger on a circuit board. You might be able to purchase a used as-is camera of the same type. Try taking the body halves apart carefully on the as-is camera, remove the shutter circuit and then carefully try to replace the shutter button circuit board on your broken camera. Or if that's too difficult, contact the manufacturer or any reputable repair shop and get a repair estimate on the camera. If the estimate falls above the value of a new camera - you decide. Hope this helps.

MISSING SHUTTER BUTTON ON SURESHOTA520

Dear mitzi:

Unless you are capable of doing a digital camera repair yourself, you will need to call Canon Tech Support at 1-800-828-4040 to send the unit in for service.

Though the repair seems simple enough, and you can indeed simply order parts from Canon, these parts come without any instructions or tech support, which effectively leaves you on your own in figuring out how to do the repair.

Your camera may qualify for the Canon Loyalty Program which would allow you to upgrade to a higher refurbished model (usually a camera such as the A560 in this case) at a cost that may be lower than the repair. Depending on the age of your camera it may be a worthwhile option to consider since the upgrade comes with a 6 month replacement warranty.

I hope this helps.

Sincerely,
HeavyDLB

Shutter problems

I am having a similar problem with my eos 100QD.
shutter opens, then stays open until I depress the shutter switch again.
Sometimes about half my photos are lost on a roll, but the other photos are fine (as would be expected from how the film is wound). This problem looks like it's caused by the shutter mechanism failing, a common problem with older camera and one that is often more expensive to repair than it is to replace the body.
