Have to be resoldered . you will need a very high temp soldering gun to remove these ..this solder is not like the old lead solder that unsolders easy also make sure they have same rating as original or higher voltage and also make sure polarity is correct when replaced..goodluck

What's the difference between each barrel shape?

Cylindrical barrels arethe same diameter along their entire length and tend to be long and thin. Theirslenderness makes them better for grouping but because they are long, the centerof gravity is further back.Ton shaped barrels arethin at either end but bulge in the middle an thing that makes them fatter thana cylindrical barrel of equivalent weight but the center of gravity is furtherforward and much easier to throw.

Turn power on, power light blinks 3 times and goes back to "standby" mode. tried unplugging for 1 minute to reset, plugged back in and same result. called support line but can not find reciept...

Many tvs are having problems with the capaicitors on the power supply. I would remove the back of the set, locate the power supply, and look at the top of the capacitors "barrels", if the top is bulging up slightly, they are bad. Usually 6 of them in the same group with an X on the top.

My Samsung LNS4051 has sound but no picture. I replaced 2 bulging capacitors (CM807 and 808), and it worked for less than 1 day. The other 4 caps frequently mentioned on this site appear to be good, but...

When you replace obviously bad capacitors (bulging, leaking), make sure you also replace any adjacent similar capacitors even if they look ok because they are almost certainly bad too.

If you find 2 bulging ones in a group of 6, don't skimp, just replace all 6 while you have it open.

Good luck and please post back with how you make out.

Have I possibly damaged my Browning 16 gauge Standard weight shotgun Belgium made.by loading/shooting 2 3/4'' shells

Europe loads 2 1/2" and 2 3/4" shells for 16 gauge shotgun as standard and the US only loads 2 3/4" shells. If your shotgun chambers the 2 3/4" shells it should be OK. You can measure the chamber and see if it measures 2 3/4". You can also check your barrel for and bulges in it by looking down the barrel with a bore light shinning down the other end. A bulge should be able to be seen with the eye. If your gun has any bulge, do not fire it again. You will need a new barrel. But It should be OK and I would not expect their to be any bulges.

Stuck dvd and no power

I fixed this problem in my DVP642 by replacing a capacitor on the main power board where the power chord hooks in. Take the top cover off (after unplugging player). You'll be able to locate the bad capacitor on the circuit board located on the very right. Look for location marked c316 on the circuit board. A bad capacitor will be bulged up on top. The capacitor you're looking for will be a black barrel shape with an aluminum top, this aluminum top will be bulged up or leaking on the circuit board. Replace this capacitor by desoldering the two leads into the board and replacing with an identical part you can pick up at Radio Shack for a couple dollars. My repair for this identical problem was a success. The blinking light is the tip off for this particular problem on these Phillips models.
