We bought this 2 years ago at best buy, 2 days ago lines appeared at the top of the screen, 15 lines. They are not solid black, they are multi color. What is wrong with it? Can it be repaired? I see best buy does not sell magnavox anymore. Is it common to have problems with such an expensive tv after only 2 years?
If I had to replace it, what would be a better choice where i would get more life out of my purchase.....money doesn't come that easily to replace an expensive tv every 2 years.
First make sure its not an input problem or from an external source.Disconnect all inputs and see if lines are present with no inputs to tv.if lines affect menu and or ON SCREEN DISPAY (top) there is a good chance (SSB) board could be bad .I would start with this board first ,lvds cable (second) and last the logic board (comes only with new LCD)

I have the same problem, but mine has red lines that move around on the bottom half of the screen. They appear using all input sources, even with no signal connected, so I assume it's something wrong with a circuit board.
I found this website with a bunch of boards for sale, but I don't know which is correct. Any ideas, or should I take it to a shop? A technician suspected it might be a buffer board, but I don't know which
