Unfortunately your computer has a fairly weak processor and graphics chip. If you want to eek out a little more performance go to the link below and get an app called CCleaner. The FREE version works great and you will be able to easily disable some of the unnecessary startup items from the "Tools" Menu on the left side of the main screen. Just go to the Startup tab under the tools menu. This will free up some resources and possibly get your movies to run smoother.

As with any computer, after a while it's going to start to slow down because of programs and files being added and your computer will become memory hungry. Do you have alot of programs installed on to it or files installed on to your netbook? and are you multitasking when you are playing audio like using windows media to play it? If so, your netbook can't handle all the treads from the program because it's underpowered. The Acer netbook is underpowered to do multitasking. It is only meant for internet browsing and typing. It is not meant to be handle like a laptop. If I am correct your version comes with 1gb of ram only and you may need to upgrade your memory to 2gb which is the max allowance to help ease the lagging. However you can also try defragmenting your drive too, but as recommendation, you will have to upgrade you memory.

Insert your Windows Recovery CD, reboot, and reinstall Windows.

when you play the game turn your graphics down and it will play better like 1260x800 turn it down to 400x 600

use any othere webcam software.. and use VLC player for playing videos...

try adding the /prefetch:1 command 2 the game start shortcut
example C:\program files\game\game.exe /prefetch:1

this can force faster retreval of sum documents and games bt nt alwase

Try running an Antivirus and Antispyware application.
One of your other programs is interfering. (as it disappeared in safe mode)
Try deleting things out of the Startup in the Start button menu.

You have something running in the background that is eating up the CPU useage. You need to identify which process is doing this.

Use the built in task manager, using ctrl-alt-delete to bring it up, and see which process is at above 90% cpu usage. Then post back here what you find.
