When viewing pictures on the screen, a yellow graph shows up on the screen. It is hard to view the pictures this way. Is there a way to turn yhis off?

Look for a button on the back of the camera saying "info" or something similar. Pressing the button will step you through a few different information screens along with not showing information from the screen.

Setup

You need to select the appropriate video input on the television. If you have done this, you need to check your connections. Most likely you connected it via the red white and yellow cables. Therefore, find the remote for your TV (the one that actually shipped with your TV - not the one you use for cable or satellite) and look for a button labelled something like:
TV Video, Video Select, A/V, AV Select, Input, Input Select, Device, Source, Auxiliary, Line, etc. When you press this - your television should change to what's called an input mode. One of these input modes will likely give you a picture from the recorder. If not, call Panasonic.
