P Reg keeps stalling

i check my rail pressure 1st.
at spec> no its low then the reg is bad, (stuck wide open )
the fuelpump voltage way low, ?
or the filter clogged, sure 60k tuneups do work , and my filter is new
and the pump is weak and bad

if pressure was good, id do the injector leak down test
then the balance test.
all that is in the FSM. every tests.
and will find the cause of gross engine power loss.

ask for details can do that at each step.

Check for vacuum at map sensor.check fuel pressure.

need to do a compression test sir. this sounds like _blown Head Gasket_ hopt not. could be easy things like clogged fuel injectors, long story short check that fuel rail has pressure to it... run some injector cleaner through gas tank.... check that fuel pump is working properly ie. not turning on /off on/off should stay on whole time cars on. thats all. questions or results post em so i can get back to you :) Derek

no, i not think it is fuel reg. sounds like maybe timing off ,bad sensors. does check engine lite come on or have you pull codes. i would check these things. if you can do a compression test on the engine. is it high mileage ? do you have vacuum leak ? there are lots of things can be going on to solve it is to start trouble shooting !!!!

yes it could be a fuel related problem, when was your last tune up, it could also be a spark issue, old or corroted spark plugs will sometimes not put out the correct amount of heat to ignite the gas correctly till it runs for a while, if the check engine light isnt lit, it will almost have to be something simular to this

take a look on your fuel rail driver side, look to see if there is a test port. If so get yourself a fuel pressure guage and hook er up. fuel pressure should be Min 35 Max 45 PSI if so that rules out fuel pump, Otherwise wait till dark and get a spray bottle full of water, mist your spark plug wires so they are wet and start the truck, if you see little sparks jumping from the wires replace em. last common cause that comes to my mind is check the voltage on your Throttle position sensor black should be ground, purple should be the reading from the sensor and whatever other color should have 5Volts constant aprox. Check your codes too. key on off on off on without starting engine then count the flashes of the check engine light, pauses mean next number... post em and ill let you know what they mean

Yes, you are right,it will still crank with a bad fuel pump. It sounds like a bad battery cable. Check all connections, especially the ground. A bad connection or cable at the negative end would shut down the processor and cause the cranking problem at the same time. This is the only thing I can think of that would cause both at once, unless you have two different problems that happened to show up at the same time.

Have you check the O2 sensors? How baout cleaning the MAF and Throttle body? Thermostat?

How does the temp gauge look whn it stalls?

sounds like fuel pressure reg on fuel-line

First, check for water in the fuel(a common problem with pwcs). Could also be a faulty pcm or stator, does this model have a fault light?
