Turn off the console. Take out the adapter and plug it into the ports on the front of the xbox 360. if this doesnt work, you will need a new on.e

How do i configure a wireless adapter for xbox live

To use the Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter with Xbox Live, you must have a high-speed Internet connection (cable or DSL).

Your wireless networking adapter is designed to attach directly to the back of your Xbox 360™ console.

I have an xbox with xbox live subscribtion and i have sattelite internet. I was told if i got a netgear router i might be able to play xbox live? Is this true?

Actually, just about any newer router will do the job. You can either connect the Xbox console via the Ethernet port on the back or through the Xbox Wireless Network Adapter which you can find at any video game store.
The ethenet cable is the cheaper option as it will only cost you about $3 but your Xbox will need to be close to your computer. The WiFi adapter is about $50 and will allow you to use your Xbox 360 on Xbox Live in other rooms of your house.

Xbox adapter

your problem may be as simple as auto sign in disabled, you have probally alredy solved this but i will let everyone else know the solution if you whack the guide button, and go over to settings, if your using the xbox NXE dashboard, then click Profile, Then scroll down to auto sign-in and click there, and there shoul be a xbox live bit, make sure its enabled other wise you have to do it manually.

Xbox live

Ok, first call microsoft so they can fix your account.
Then, re-connect your wireless adapter to your 360. Once that is done, reconnect to your router. If that fails, call the manufacturer for help.
