I didn't mean for this to turn into a production number, but thanks for trying. Any ideas are welcome. I only wish that Prime Array hadn't abandoned their tech assistance for this model. They told me it was too old. huh..

no problem. don't worry. I am not supposed to comment on Prime Array, but I am a little frustrated with them myself.

What I have heard you say is that this is quite an investment for your school. You need to protect the investment by working on this. you do not have the funding to upgrade. And we just need to see the admin screen. right? I will try to get someone who can help you if I cannot.

Ok, I am sorry, I have not been able to get a solution for this problem. I hope you can find a school to network with. The school I worked at has a computer teacher named Don Cagle.

He may not know the answer either, but he should know someone in public schools who will have a similar system. I also encourage you to follow up on this with other FixYa professionals.

    thanks,

    Ken

If you are using wirelss, unplug the router for 10 seconds and plug back in. Make sure any plugins are downloaded and if you're like me, you can use mozilla firefox 3.5
You can use internet explorer 8 or chrome as well but they are not that good.

What Antivirus program are you using?

check the blocked programs list in "Internet Explorer"
Tools>>.internet options>> security>> look in the restricted sites and see if it is there .... you can click on reset all zones to default and see if this helps... otherwise you may have you Antivirus or a firewall blocking the site

Restricting nosey userson a home network

Do not share any files on your computer:

My Computer
Right click on C: drive or D:, etc...
Properties
Sharing

Make sure your files are not shared

Also do this:

Start:Programs:Accessories:System Tools:Disk Clean Up
Check everything except the compress old files

Also,

Keep all of your saved viewing materials in one main folder.
Right click on folder select properties
check hidden and OK
Open Windows Explorer, not Internet explorer
Open tools//folder options//view
Select "do not show hidden files and folders"

Do this when you are done browsing and go back to show hidden files when you are back on your computer.

Clear your documents:

Start//Settings//Taskbar and Menu Settings//
Select start menu//customize
select clear

Prime Array ServStation

Make sure you have the latest firmware downloads for your ServStation. The latest release - 6.11 - has upgrades for the latest Mac operating systems. If you're switching to a PC based solution you shouldn't have any problems connecting to the ServStation. If you still are, what exactly is the error you are seeing?

I was afraid of that. The only way to connect is by ip. and you already tried that. so, why can't you see the admin screen.

what type of operating system are you using on the computer you are trying to connect to the servstation?

The last one I tried from was MS Server. Are you using windows or mac, what version, etc?

Is this owned by a school. If it is, many local technology centers will come and work on this for free. Without seeing the device myself it will be hard because finding a tech manual for this item is difficult.
Did PrimeArray know this belonged to a school?
