Check the battery condition, and charger. Check also the fuses in the transfer switch (note they are line voltage so maybe call an electrician)

Thermostat will not come on, therefore unit will not come on

Your thermostat is probably wired directly into the furnace to supply the 24V to power the stat. You have to make sure you're getting 120V into the primary side of the transformer, and 24V out of the secondary side. If you've got voltage in and nothing out replace the transformer with one of the same voltage, and same or higher VA rating. If you don't have 120V in then start checking backwards starting with power in/out of the door switch, then back to the unit disconnect switch, and back to the breaker if necessary. If you've got 24V out of the secondary go check to see you've got 24V at the thermostat between the R and C terminals, if you do the thermostat is bad. As with any electrical wiring make sure you've got good connections on all wiring terminations. Good luck, if you need an explanation of how to check the power in and out of the transformer let me know!

Honeywell Enviracaire Elite 300 problem. Light is not on. Seems like no power to system. No snapping or noises. No obvious bent fins or broken wires

If it was wired to the return air it will have a flag switch to let it know the blower is on, sometimes the flag comes off and it wont operate, sometimes it is wired directly to the computer board on terminals EAC that stands for electronic air cleaner and the board turns the air cleaner on when the blower is running, if you have a meter you can check voltage in both places to see which one is the problem. let me know. thanks wally

The Honeywell electronic air cleaner constantly "snaps" even though it is clean. I have inspected the wires and fins, clean and spaced properly. Any suggestions?

It is normal to hear occasional snapping from your Electronic Air Cleaner. This occurs when larger particles are caught by the ionizer wires. Continuous snapping is not normal .Remove both the cell and check clean the bottom portion by using a vacuum cleaner attachment. If the snapping continues with the cells remove contact your contractor.

Honeywell F50e electronic air cleaner indicator light stays on

Could be a faulty sail switch in the air cleaner that keeps the air cleaner on even without air flow.

Honeywell F50A does not clean well

sounds like it is working. You could replace the cells and prefilters with a disposable box filter that fits.

Honeywell F300E not cleaning air.

A newly installed system should still be under the contractor's labor warranty. Call them and ask them to come out to check on the unit and explain what you wrote above. This should cost you nothing and is the best way to get to the bottom of the problem.

Filter not clicking or emitting clean air smell and dust is flowing like filter is not energized

MAKE SURE THAT YOUR CELL(S) ARE CLEAN ... CLOSELY INSPECT TO SEE THAT THERE ARE NO BROKEN IONIZING WIRES (THE SMAAL STAINLESS-STEEL WIRES THAT ARE BETWEEN THE COLLECTOR PLATES). MAKE SURE POWER GOING INTO UNIT TO IS "OFF"!!! ... NOT JUST THE SWITCH ON THE UNIT. THEN TRY THE FOLLOWING: THIS AIR-CLEANER THAS A AIR-FLOW SENSOR THAT SOMETIMES GETS CLOGGED ... IT IS INSIDE THE TOP CONTROL PANEL. THERE SHOULD BE A DIAGRAM UNDER THE CONTROL BOX COVER PLATE TO ASSIST YOU LOCATING THAT SENSOR. MAKE SURE IT IS CLEAN. THE HIGH-VOLTAGE TRANSFORMER BEING BAD USEUALLY WILL SMELL LIKE BURNT WIRING. AND WILL LOOK BURNT. MAKE SURE YOU SEE NO LOSE WIRES ... SOME TIMES THE SPARK-PLUG LOOKING WIRE GOING TO THE CELL(S) CAN BURN OFF ITS CONNECTOR. YOU CAN CHECK THE DOOR SAFETY SWITCH TO MAKE SURE IT IS MAKING CONTACT WHEN HANDLE IS PROPERLY CLOSED. GOOD LUCK ... HOPE YOU HERE THAT ZAPPING SOON ... BY THE WAY ... IF YOU GET A POWER LIT ON ... GIVE THE RETURN-AIR DUCT A SLIGHT BANG ... IF IT IS WORHING IT SHOULD SNAP CRACKLE AND POP FOR A FEW SECONDS. MAKE SURE YOU SEE NOTHING (HAIR?) LYING ACROSS THE PLATES OR IOMIZING WIRES ON EACH CELL IF YOURS HAS TWO. ELECTRIC AIR CLEANERS ARE ONLY GOOD WHEN THEY ARE KEPT CLEAN ... PET HAIR IS A CONSTANT MAITENCE PROBLEM AND CELLS SHOULD BE LEANED EVERY TWO WEEKS. FOR BEST PERFOMANCE.
