Hi,
Even though the clock and timer, etc... works you need to replace this part...
Electronic timer and clock

Thank you ! Do you have any useful info on installation ?
Installation should not be that difficult....a few screws and the top panel comes apart...the board will snap out and you just have to switch all the wires around....
The main thing is to mark, take a picture or do something so you remember where everything goes back...
Thank you, I appreciate your assistance! Should I access from front panel or try to access it from the rear?
i found this link
ftp://ftp.electrolux-na.com/ProdInfo_PDF/Springfield/5995480778.pdf
might help help you to answer my next question ? should I access the clock timer from the front or rear
Yes, the access will be from the back....you may have to take the screws out and lift up the whole panel to get to the screws to separate the panel...
Also if this has been helpfull please change the rating...Thanks!!
Installed electronic timer and clock today ! Was very easy to access from rear panel. Just remove rear panel and plug wires from old timer into new timer, then remove old timer which is connected with 4 screws, and replace with new one ! Only took about 10 minutes from start to finish ! Now bake element as well as broiler operates normally !
Thanks again for your assistance !
Great!! Always gives me a good feeling to know that I just saved someone a ton of money!!
Hi,
That board is the "brains" of the whole thing....and with what you were desrcibing it just was the only logical thing...kind of a sixth sense I have developed after many years of fixing stuff...
As far as the cause.... there are a couple of things....
first they don't make em like they used too....when things were made to last forever...
And....
There are many power surges and voltage fluctuations from many power companies today and thet is hard on the electronics in the boards....

Neither baking or broiling elements heat up. No error codes. Stovetop elements work fine as does clock, timer , etc.my range is kenmore model 790 had it for three weeks
oven stoped heating up its cold on bake at 350 why? if its the clock
just was wondering..........how did you know it was the electric clock
timer that was bad ? Also, what would be cause of failure after only 15
months in service ?
