You should be able to conduct a recovery of your system by rebooting and following the steps which quickly follow for system setup before the operating system comes online. then use your recovery disk to help you get your user name and password reinstated. It would help if we had more information on your system and software.

Are you using Windows XP at home? There is a good chance that your administrator accound does not have a password. Just hit CTRL-ALT-DEL twice at the Welcome screen to bring up the log-in dialog. Enter administrator for the user name and leave the password blank, click OK and hopefully Windows will log-in. Now go to the Control Panel and open Users. Pick you account and click remove password. This will take the password away from your account. Reboot and you should be able to get into your account without a password.

If you are referring to a different password or version of Windows, or if my solution doesn't work for you, then there may be other things that can be done to reset your password. Just get back to me with more details about your situation.

a new windows open
in it select safe mode...
after startin windows u can make a new account by doin dis..
start>control panel>user account>creat a new account..
den restart urs computer u can acces urs computer..

or u can also try dis when urs password dailog box comes press ctrl+alt+del a new dailog box open in it dere is user name and password

type ADMINISTRATOR as user name
nd type ADMINISTRATOR as password....

u can aceess urs pc.....

this can reset any account administrator or user too
