Question about HP Officejet 5610 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Can you still see light move up and down the scanner when you scan? If not then the lamp burnt out. I looked quickly for a replacement lamp and it looks hard to find. If the bulb is find then the picture pick-up element is faulty or its trailing cable is broken. If the bulb is hard to find then these parts would be even harder. There probably isn't much that can be done for you machine if it's not under warranty. If it is under warranty then don't hesitate to call HP.

try connecting it to another computer. If it works, then it is a prblem with your computer, otherwise it is with your scanner hardware.
If you can open the scanner clean the circuit board with (Isopropyl alcohol) IPA solution. you can also try replacing the ribbon type cables connecting the print head.
If the problem arised due to dust accumulation, the above action should solve the problem.
