Tom,
There are many changes to your device that you have done here. Even if you go through all of the normal set up procedures, it looks like somethings else happened. Before calling a technician, remember you have a 2 year warranty. Let us know if you need more information about that.

1. Adjust color, tint, color temperature, brightness, or contrast in the menus.
2. Pick another gamma setting
3. Pick another color space
Keep me posted,

That looks like retrace lines. Anyway, you should try to adjust screen pot not focus pot. Make sure you are turning blue screen pot (there are 3 focus pots and 3 screen pots) and do it slowly. If you turn it too much, it will affect your grayscale

These bulbs are very sensitive to contamination. When installing a bulb, do not touch it with your fingers, as this will leave your natural oils on it and that will become a hot spot and burn out the lamp.
Use a clean piece of toilet tissue when installing the new lamp to eliminate the above.
Good luck!

Hello!
Any picture imperfection in any LCD projectors is caused by light engine's damage. It could be due to constant overheating, dust accumulation, etc.
In any occasion, the light engine must be replaced or repaired(if possible).
If that glow is not substantial yet and you can live with that, just ignore it. It will get worse, eventually, then you will think over: to repair this projector or replace it with a new one.
good luck,
thanks,
Alex.

With my old bulb I recently had black vertical lines. I just put in a new bulb and now the lines multi-colored. How do I get rid of the lines? This problem shows up from my TV and DVD feeds.

reset the settings to factory default. if you don't get the lines on the splash screen when you first start it up, try swapping cables. if that doesn't work or you do get the lines on the splash screen, you have a video processor chip issue. replace the main board.

I have a faint rolling line moving from the bottom of the screen to the top. It's very noticable with dark screens. I have a new bulb in and have checked to make sure it wasn't the cable box. Any ideas?

Typically this problem is caused by line noise or interference, such as an appliance such as a fan, AC unit, or other motorized device on the same electrical circuit or electrical ground that your projector is connected to.

In a worse case scenario, like what happened to me, is that it may be that your neighbor has some device like an air conditioning unit that is poorly grounded and it sends a rolling line through the round and through to the cable tv's coax cable and back to the junction box. If this is the case, your neighbors probably have similar problems. For this type of problem, you can report it to the cable company for line quality problems, they can send a tech out and try to isolate the problem and where it is originating from. In my case, the third cable tech that came out traced it to a grounding problem on my neighbors house, but the cable company can't fix the problem unless the home owner grants them access to their property to investigate further.

My picture brightness is uneven - there is a persistant bright field on my screen.

I have the exact same problem with my AE700. It a started about the same time, around 2500 hours for me. I lived with it untill I could afford a new bulb which arrived yesterday. The old bulb was still working at a 3603 hours when I installed the new one. But the new bulb didn't fix the problem for me either. I may try to take it apart this weekend and give it a good cleaning. Andy
