Sounds like warped flywheel or broken or bent pressure plate spring.
Don't downshift your car at high rev's because it tends to bend the pressure plate springs.

Vespa ET2 50 Scooter. Why is my Vespa ET2 50 jerking / shuddering on first departure.

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from 'First Computers' to make model category.

You aren't letting it warm up before charging down the road with that tiny engine.

Or the spark plug needs replacing / cleaning / gapping.

Nissan 1400 Champ. What is causing it to backfire and jerk?

sounds like a fuel supply fault. With backfiring it can be attributed to a faulty ignition component of a bad fuel air mix...you will probably need the services of a good Nissan mechanic to diagnose and
rectify the problem but it is almost certainly not very serious at the moment from what you describe. Have it seen to before it develops into something worse is what I advise.

Jerking and brake related issue

the jerking may be due to uneven braking on either side of the car it may be that a piston is stuck. need to take car off the road remove tyres then brakecalipers a good indication that a piston is stuck is when you disconnect the brake lines and pull pads/caliper of the rotor the piston will be extremely hard to move

Jerking movements when in 1st gear.

Most jerky clutches are traced to weak clutch disc coil springs. They are mounted in the clutch disc to absorb shock, but can get weak and can cause a jerky clutch.
Could also be a broken weak motor mount.
