I have a sony dvd player model dvp-ns305 i live in rhodes greece family send me films on formatted discs but my player says can not play this disc? can you give me advice or solution

I've just met the very same problem. Did you find a fix for your Sony DVP-NS305 or did you buy another one?

Turn on the unit with the remote controller, Wait until "no disc" appears in the unit's display. Press the keys: PAUSE, 3, 1, 4, 1, 5, 9. And "CODE" will appear in the display. Press the number key that corresponds to the disc zone you want to play within the next 5 seconds:0: All regions / 1: Region#1 / 2: R#2/... and so on. Then, within 5 seconds, press: PAUSE, POWER... and voilà. If you don't have good results, disconnect the equipment and repeat.

the answer is yes. The dvp ns 330 has NTSC function on it, so its definitely going to play ntsc disc format.

I have a DVP-NS700,does same thing,but with copies.I just think they are more sensitive to bad discs,old/copies.I dont think there is anything actually wrong with it.

No Sir, You can't upgrade DVP-NS530 to play DivX format. This player has no ability to play DivX nor it can be upgraded.

not u would have to set the code to 0 all sum do sum dont usally need a unversal region free player out of box to do it
