Vista has a repair tool you can try to use to resolve your problem.

If that doesn't resolve, then you may want to see if you can run any diagnostics on the hard drive. Since the computer is only 2 months old, it should be under warranty from the manufacturer if there is a problem with the hard drive or Vista

My laptop core i3 works very slowly even when i open any program it open very late but it close its self

first - you described error, that is good, what is bad: what computer and what operating system? telepathy do not work that hot as it is advertised in hollywood movies...

will give you just bit of generic advice, i assume your operating system is windows of any flavour.

1. update your operating system and reboot as requested
2. update your antivirus and run it at full scan
3. switch off computer and leave it for 20sec.
4. start computer in safe mode with network connection (tap continuously f8 about every 2sec during computer startup, then select safe mode with network
5. this will load os only with basic drivers, run your antivirus scan again - full scan
6. go to and download free version of the software and install it (do not install junk adverts or anything else what comes with it - just softgware) - sometime ccleaner will not install in safe mode, remember where you download it, reboot computer, install ccleaner, follow step 3 and 4
7. run ccleaner in safe mode and remove all junk from your computer
8. go to "tools" in ccleaner and uninstall all software which you did not used in last year, including all toolbars, ebays, facebook and similar cr@p.
9. in "tools" select "startup" - disable everything what is there - especially toolbars and all your "beloved" skype, facebook and whatever else you rubbish your computer with (you computer and turning can use it still - but it will not automatically load on startup - clogging your computer and frustrating the system)
10. still in ccleaner select "registry", remove tick from line "unused file extensions" and run "scan for issues" - press "fix selected issues" after run and save first load when requested, run scan again, but do not save more results, repeat that till you will have "no issues were found".
11. close ccleaner
12. reboot your computer and enjoy it

never, ever install any toolbars,
never ever allow any programs not necessary to run computer to run on start-up!

hope this little article will help you speed up your machine, if any questions - ask, do not forget to vote...

Vista at it's best...

* Extra Menu options for files and Folders in Windows Vista:

1. Get an expanded shortcut menu When you work with files and folders in Windows Explorer, get in the habit of holding down Shift as you right-click an item. The screen shots here show the normal shortcut menus for a file and folder on top, with the Shift-enhanced shortcut menus below each one. Using this shortcut, you can add any file to the Start menu or the Quick Launch bar, open a Command Prompt window rooted in the selected folder, or copy the full path for a file or folder to the Clipboard.

* Run Performance Check in Windows Vista

2. Get a quick system checkup Windows Vista has no shortage of diagnostic tools. The System Health Report is one of the most useful. It takes input from the Performance and Reliability Monitor and turns it into a well-organized, information-packed report that does a good job of spotlighting potential problems. To run this report, open Control Panel, click System and Maintenance, and then click Performance Information and Tools. In the Tasks list along the left, click Advanced tools. The last item on the resulting list is Generate a system health report.

Each report gathers information for roughly 60 seconds, so it's easy to run several reports. To establish a baseline, run a report immediately after startup, with no programs running except those that start up automatically. You can run additional reports while you run particularly stressful programs to see whether the load is overtaxing your system.

* Make the blinking cursor easier to see

3. Make the blinking cursor easier to see The blinking cursor that indicates where you can type text is as thin as Kate Moss, which sometimes make for frustrating moments when you can't locate the blinking thing. So make it easier to see: Open Control Panel, type optimize visual display in the Search box, and click the shortcut to see the dialog box shown here. Bumping the size of the cursor from 1 to 2 makes a noticeable difference; going all the way to 11 would really make it impossible to miss.

* Make Security Center go away The Security Center icon

4. Make Security Center go away The Security Center icon in the notification area is a nag. There's just no other word for it. And if you're confident that your security settings are in order, you really don't need the nagging. To make Security Center disappear into the background, open its icon in Control Panel and click Change the way Security Center alerts me in the Tasks pane on the left. In the resulting dialog box, choose Don't notify me and don't display the icon (not recommended).

* Use the Mobility Center on a notebook

5. Use the Mobility Center on a notebook It's about time notebook users got an easy-to-access control panel for common configuration options. Vista's Mobility Center gives you the ability to quickly enable or disable an external monitor, enable or disable a wireless adapter, check your battery level, and much more. To configure your notebook so Mobility Center is always available, add its shortcut to the Startup group. To open or switch to Mobility Center, use its keyboard shortcut: Windows logo key+X.

Wifi wont connect

Are you certain you have the small WiFi switch turned to the ON position? You can usually find the small button on the left or right side of the body of your laptop, just below the monitor.

All programs are not responding when I need to close them

It is normal that Windows reports programs as not responding when it try to close the computer. If all program is reported as not responding and the computer do not close at all, then it sounds like a serious problem. I would reinstall my Windows even though it is boring.

Windows start normally does not work.

what does it do? try starting in safe mode. if you can do that then run virus scan to see if anything is affecting you computer. In safe mode, select Start>Run then type in "msconfig" for Vista and Windows 7 just type in "msconfig" in the search line under the start menu. The first tab that's open is the General tab that shows how you computer starts up. It is likely on "Selective Startup" switch it to Normal Startup and reboot. If it boots up normally now, you will likely have to clean up your computer. go into control panel then add remove programs and remove programs that you don't use or won't use. Be sure you know what they are before you remove them. Try defragging it too.

System is running slow and will not open programmes ie microsoft launcer? Laptop was working fine last night, no software as been instaled

To check what is going on with your computer do some tests.
1)Open task manager and check which program is taking more memory and CPU

2)Start operating system in safe mode and check the performance. (To start in safe mode press f8 while booting). If it works fine in safe mode then some program is causing issue.
3)Update your anti virus program and scan your system

Sony Vaio with Vista

A program that is stopping your computer from being "idle" will stop the computer from going into standby. An antivirus program doing a check in the background, or a backup utility or another background program could do this. Try to terminate the various running applications and see if the problem goes away, then you'll know which program was the offending one.

As for the lid, just doublecheck - go to control panel->power options->advanced and the dropdown that says "When I close the lid of my portable computer" should read "Stand By"
