Can't remember how to get the mouse and the keyboard to recongnize each other

the mouse and keyboard dont recognise each other. they communicate with a usb connector and can be activated by pressing a connect button on the usb device first then followed by the mouse and keyboard connect or detect buttons located generally on the bottom of them. some require use of a ink pin or small object to depress the button. these steps need to be followed within as short a time frame as possible to insure proper read time transmissions.

My mouse is a wireless mouse and i dropped it accidently once. Right after the fall,it is not working anymore. Can i actually fix it?

It is possible that the battery popped out when it was dropped. It is possible that the battery got put back in wrong. Open the battery case and remove the battery. Then be sure to replace the battery with the positive end going in the right direction.

That should fix it for u.

Please rate my answer as a fixya thanks

I just purchased a Microsoft Media Desktop 1000, and the backspace key does not work.

If it's brand-new, and all of the other keys work, then the keyboard is faulty. Call Microsoft and order a replacement.

Mouse doesn't move

Well in case of opto-mechanical mouse all u hav to do is open d mouse and just clean d rollers(as d ball moves d rollers also move and that decide d X-Y coefficients) which are clogged with sticky dirt n dust.
In case of optical mouse it's d crystal which is most vulnerable to failure,so after detailed tests procedures change d faulty component,u might require professional guidance.
Also cleaning d lens below the LED will help.
Repairs of optical Mouse is not worth it,considering d obsolute nature of electronic circuits, and d rapid fall n d prices, replacing is d only option for an optical mouse

Re: wireless mouse and keyboard; mouse not detected

I bought the same combo from a parts house. The guy told me the mouse didn't work but didn't know why. I had the same problem. When I inspected the mouse closely, I found that the connect button on the bottom of the mouse had stuck underneath the housing...basically in the "connect position". When I freed it, the mouse worked and still works just fine. Hope this helps
