The phone is not what is blocked it is the sim that is blocked. When the phone is blocked, it asks for security code, but when your sim card is blocked, it asks for the PUK code to unblock it so as for you to be able to access both the phone and the sims services with the sim in it.

The PUK code means personal unblocking key, and it can be found at the back of the pack where you took your sim from, or on the card whick you borke out the sim card from. It mostly used to be 8 digits.

If you do not have the pack anymore. contact the help center of the sim service provider and they will give it to you.

NOTE: If you insert another sim into the phone that is not blocked, the enter PUK number will not longer be on the screen, you can try a friends sim to confirm this. Once that is done, you will now know that the problem is from the sim, not the phone.

A PUK blocked message pops up after one enters the wrong PUK code 7 or 10 times in a row, depending on the service provider. A PUK code is required only after one blocks the SIM PIN code.

Many times, it may so happen that you block your PIN code. You will need to call the customer care of the service provider of your cell phone for the PUK code or refer the SIM certificates for the PUK code. If you enter the wrong PUK code 7 to 10 times in succession, it will lead to PUK blocked. After entering the wrong PUK code 10 times in a row, the SIM card becomes permanently invalid or locked. The only solution is to purchase a new SIM card.

PUK blocked requires you to get a new SIM card. It does not matter whether you use a Nokia Cell Phone, LG Cellphone, Motorola Cell Phone, Samsung or Sony Ericsson handset. The handset is not the one that's deactivated, but its the SIM card that gets blocked. So, contact your network store for further help and getting yourself a new SIM card (new phone number). A sim block usually indicates that your wireless provider has put a block on your account. There are also certain applications associated with wireless phones in which a user can set up their phone and lock it remotely, or block many of the features accessible on it.

I would start with your wireless network carrier. Ask them why the SIM card is blocked.

if they required the puk code then call to sim provider. if puk blocked that means sim block not a phone blocked. so issue a new sim or buy new sim. sim permanently not use for you.

If sim is blocked all you need to do is contact your sim provider(sim company) through customer care number or through nearest retail outlet. They will provide you a new sim if it is locked due to putting wrong codes or if they have blocked it for some reason they will inform you and release the block.

Only the sim is blocked, not the phone. The unblocking code is located on the sim casing when you bought it. It will ask you to enter the code and new PIN code 2 times but will completely block it if the limited number of attempts is reached. You can just simply replace the sim and the phone will work again normally.

sorry but sim is permantly blocked now. If sim pin is entered incorrectly 3 times the phone will request a PUK code. If you continue to enter pin incorrectly 10 more times the sim will block permantly. Hence PUK blocked. The best thing to do now will be too contact your service provider to see if they can replace your sim? Hope that helps?
