Hotpoint WF840P washing machine

Hi
We have a washing machine which doesnt seem to ant to drain any water?? I have checked the drain line which appears clear, blown thru the pressure switch ( I can hear the water bubbling in the drum) but still the machine will not drain?? I am reluctant to take out the cover as we may be moving abroad in a couple of months, the machine is a Hotpoint WF840P washing machine. Any advice would be appreciated.

The pump is blocked... at the bottom back there is a plastic cover, remove this and the pump is located on the back right hand side.

tilt washer far forward, place a bucket under to catch water and remove pipes.

once cleared, test again, if still no joy then you just need a new pump, but this part is a work horse so i would assume it is blocked with something like a baby wipe or babies sock (usual suspects)

Water wont pump out code f-05

Clogged drain pump.
Check the drain pump filter. Use a flashligth and you will se if the impeller is stuck on something. If not check the hose from the drum to the drainpump housing. May be clogged.
If not, replace drainpump

Wash machine pump doesnt work

Hiya,
some machines have a filter at the front of the machine it will be right down the bottom behind the trim this trim normally just pulls to open & if so you will see a small circle if you unscrew that some water will come out & if blocked will have some stuff in that you can remove,

Hope this helps

My Hotpoint Aqualtis AQXXD 169 PM is adding time to the was cycle, taking longer to wash through the cycle? ant ideas?

the time is a generic time and will adjust accordingly as goes through programe-for example it allows a certain time to heat in the winter your cold supply may be colder so the machine needs longer to heat water-load size-if its adding more than 30 mins then check filter

Hotpoint WM64 doesnt seem to be taking in enough water

Close your faucet valve & unscrew your hoses to check screens on hoses & machine. Clean out well. Refit, check for leaks. Water shd be in good pressure. If this is not the problem change your inlet valve, it is easily done. Suggestion: use powders for front loaders.

The first question you need to ask yourself is, "is the drain pump running?" If you can hear the drain pump running when it tries to drain, then more than likely you have a clogged drain pump, or drain line. Here's how you can determine which one: You can check the drain line by seeing if it collapses when the pump starts to run. If it does, then you know you have a clogged line somewhere BEFORE the pump. This usually means an article of clothing has gotten between the wash basket and outer tub and is stuck in the line. If the line is full of water and doesn't seem to be going anywhere, hook up a wet/dry shop vac to the drain hose in the rear of the machine to see if you can pull water from the tub, through lines, and through the pump. If you can't, you know you probably have a clogged pump, or drain line AFTER the pump. If the drain pump does not come on, you may have a pump failure. In either case, you need to drain the water from the tub. A wet/dry shop vac does a great job at pulling water from the tub, so you don't have to bail. Let me know if this helps.
