Question about Canon PIXMA iP4300 InkJet Photo Printer
I have been using ip3000, then the ip5200 and recently I bought iP4300 a while ago, but now have 2
problems with it:
1. Service error 5100
Did run regcure (registered version) as
instructed on the net, but it didn't solve the problem.
Also had a look at your solution in the User manuel - says must do steps 7 b & c on page 10 properly (by the way, it shows on page 13 on my PC), but I havent installed any tubing as shown on the pictures. My printer is still the way i bought it.
2. Printer makes LOUD 'clicking' noise when prints onto dvd/cd. When finished with printing, the image is skew ("leans to the right")! Can you PLEASE assist?
Thanking you Johan Bekker

I had this eror. It was caused by indexing error left to right.Would print some then cancel after starting to make clunking and left to right error gets to large.(white edge up the side of full page print).
There is a toothed print head carriage drive belt and a clear indexing strip above the heavily white greased bar behind print head carriage.
If this clear indexing strip gets grease or anything else on it the print head cannot index.
With print head at full right position, power off, I carefully wiped the clear strip by pinching between clean dry fingers and wiping up and down the strip a few times, maybe use cotton wool buds and IPA or methalated spirit if you can't get your fingers in there without breaking the strip. then with power on print head in change cartridge position, push carriage to far left and wipe right side of clear strip.I pushed carriage full left to right a few times,Then ran print head alignment.Fixed without taking apart.

I bought my printer 2 years ago. If I turn on my Canon ip4300 printer the lights will flash and the printer freezes. Whenever I try to print anything the message 'error 5100' appears. I have refilled my black cartridges for maybe the second time or so. But even without cartridges installed, I get no other reaction then a freezing printer. The light starts blinking green/orange and then that's all the printer does.
I've tried using the cartridge flush but there doesn't seem to be a change in the situation.
Is there anyone that can help?

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
