I just paired a Motorola BT H680 with my BB Curve 8320, it is my first BT. I like it, but I am leery because when I tap both volume keys on the BT to trigger it into MUTE status, the BB screen does not register that MUTE has been enabled. I can hear a faint clicking sound when I toggle between MUTE & UN-MUTE, but I could easily miss that sound in the car or when walking around. Apparently the manual says that the H680 has a visible puple light that indicates when a call is on mute, however that doesn't help me when the BT is attached to my ear & I can't see the purple light. Is this something that can be made to appear on my BB screen (just like when I use the direct MUTE button from my BB phone?). If not, are there other BT devices that will visibly confirm when I am on MUTE? The last thing I want is to think I'm on MUTE during a conference call & actually not be.
