hello sir , i brought a new mp4 player(sony)-made in japan.but now when i start my player there is nothing appears on the screen,it is blacklight.so pls tell me that what can i do. i think it should be formatting but now mp4 data cable is not connect with computer,then how should i connect?

- I have a Creative ZEN V MP3,& I just got it this morning, & it's been charging for 7-8 hours by now. I downloaded the CD & everything,It flashed the menu when I first charged it, Then I left for school. & like I got home,NOTHING.my computer doesn't recognize the MP3.

i also have the same sony mp4 made in japan
And i have been using it since 2006 it works like a charm.

just charge your mp4 for like 12-24 hours and it will work,This occus to new mp4`s you just need to charge them

Just format it by connecting to your pc or format it using the built in function, if still doesnt work try pressing the reset button and if still it doesnt work then your firm ware is damaged, get it fixed from a shop.

i too have the same problem, i bought sony mp4(made in japan) and one month later it doesnt turn on.. i dont know what happen, but if you connect the usb cable to pc, it workz, and when i unplugged the cable, it auto-turned off... please help me.. thanks
