Canon pixma ip90 printer is not printing blue colours. i've tried cleaning but it doesn't work.

This seems to be a comon problem with canon printers the black head is either dirty or needs to be replaced. canon should look into this

to clean heads use rubbing alcohol, cotton swab

put some rubbing alcohol on the cotton swab and gently rub the black portion of the head until it is clean

if ur internally software for cleaning the nozels is not working , y dont u try manually

remove the cartrage and clean the connect and the bottom from were the ink flows, then clean the nozel too.

do all the cleaning work first with a cloth damped in sprit ( alcohol) then with a clean colth

It might be happence due to bad cartridge. Please try with new one.

There's a couple of things, the printheads wear out and need replacing now and then which is probably your problem, also there's an update to the printers firmware available to Canon service centers which helps the purge assembly clean the black even better. The printhead is QY6-0052-000 aprox. $50.00.

How to Reset The Canon Pixma iP90 PrinterHere is the reset procedure for the Canon iP90 printer, which uses the BCI-15BK, BCI-115C and BCI-16C cartridges.
Just follow these step by step instructions, to reset the Canon Pixma iP90 printer

1. Turn printer OFF.
2. Press the RESUME button together with the POWER on button.
3. While pressing POWER on button, RELEASE the RESUME button.
4. Press RESUME button TWICE then release both buttons.
5. The green LED indicator will start blinking, then stop.
6. Wait until the Power LED lights are green, then press the RESUME button 4 times.
7. Now press POWER button OFF.
8. Turn printer ON again, your Canon iP90 printer should now respond normally.
9. If you need to unclog your print head click on next line

you going to take printer in for repair.or get a new one

Sounds like the printhead is plugged on the black side. A new printhead is #qy6-0052-000 around $40.00. That model also needs a firmware update to help it clean the printhead better.

The printhead is clogged.

Have you performed a nozzle test? If one or more of the colors is missing when you do the nozzle test, the printhead itself is likely in need of replacement.

Before considering replacment, perform a clean on the printer. Due to variations between mac and pc, please see your documentation / support files on how to perform the clean on your printer.

After performing the clean, again perform the nozzle check to see if the problem is resolved.

If still not resolved, remove and re-install any cartridges you recently replaced to make certain they are installed correctly.
