Question about Televison & Video
I read a post here from someone else with this problem. Red convergence is off and can't be adjusted. The solution offered was to replace both STK392-110's. A link to a site was offered and I purchased them. $20 each and 2 days later I dissassembled my TV to find that my unit had STK392-120s. I doubt I can return the incorrect parts since electronics can be so fragile. Do you know if these could be used in place of the one's my set has? I'm hoping the part number might just be a model year change or something minor. They look exactly like those in my set.
I have paid for Premium Assistance already. My set is now making a high frequency sound and the set is not comming on. I did not get a chance to install the ICs bfore this happened. The set ws on and went black then this sound started. I press power and it shuts off. I press power again to turn it on and the sound pulses repeatidly. Is worth replacing the ICs at this point? Thanks.
