I guess I bought a returned set of X-230 speakers. I didn't check them out before I left the store a couple weeks ago. they were on a clearance area & the clerk wasnt sure if anything was wrong. I am just now opening the box & there are no instructions. I am not computer smart. I dont see a blank area n my computer to plug the prong in. is there anywhere I can find the instructions.

Hello, my X-230 doesnt work, the power is on, the green LED light is on , but no sound, left the speaker with volume control died a few months ago, but now the other speaker and sub doesnt work too, any...

I suspect that the jack on the computer may have failed or the end of the cable that you jack in has failed. The green light indicates that power is getting to the speakers but not the sound signal. You can try repairing the cable jack prong by splicing another similar jack prong from Radio Shack, but the jack face on the mother board is a more difficult job. If you had another set of speakers you could try jacking them in to see if they operate, thus eliminating the mother board jack.

How can I connect my logitech x-230 speakers to my new laptop with windows 7? Never had probs before

Windows 7 adds High Definition and other sound features. Sound can be selecting in many more ways and it gets even tricker with microphones.

But this should do it:
Left Click "Start"
type "control panel" enter or click on menu selection
Left click "Sounds"
Enable your speakers from the default settings

Logitech x-230 2.1 Speakers: My speakers power on but do not work i guess because of loose wiring ...how do i open the speakers and check the problem??

If the speakers are still under warranty its best not to open them. You will lose your warranty. If the speakers are still under warranty, take them back to where you bought the speakers and ask them to replace the product.

But to make sure the speakers are working, plugg the green audio jack into another source to see if its the speakers or your pc. helps to narrow down the problem to a single source (pc or speakers), turn the volume up and down to test them completly.

If the speakers work with a ipod or a similar device, it could be your computer that is the problem.

Hope this helped :)

Speakers not Working :(

The Problem might be that the speakers have an internal problem or that the wires are messed up inside. What I suggest you to do if you can is to return them to the store where you bought them.

If you need more instructions on how to try to fix the speakers, please feel free to contact me and I will Be GLAD to help you.

Thank You and have a good day!

Only the right speaker (and the subwoofer) works. The left one doesn't, but it is NOT faulty!

Go to Start/Programs/accessories/entertainment/volume control. And check the left channel as not be muted by ticking the mute box. Check also all other sources of channel control- via the sound card and the computer built in one.
