Probably there is no monitor signal. You just didn't install it perfectly, or supply 12v power to the Zeus correctly, or perhaps the motherboard has to be configured to accept the card requirements in some way (maybe with jumpers, maybe with another videocard installed, in the BIOS.)

It's not as easy after you turn 25 or older, maybe that's it. :)

Screen is pink on my dell dimension 3100

Check your monitor cable first! Try reconnecting your display cable both at the computer and monitor ends. If it's still pink, try reinstalling the vga graphics driver from the Dell Utility CD-ROM (Or download from Dell's support site http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/dimension-3100/drivers then select you PC model's video driver and re-install it. if after re-installing the video driver your display's still pink, try connecting to a different monitor - if a different monitor displays correctly, then its your monitor that's faulty. If it's pink on a different monitor too, then it's your PC video hardware that's got the problem - At least you'll know whether it's the monitor that's faulty or whether it's your computer's graphics hardware. (if your computer's video chip is faulty, then I suspect you'll need a replacement motherboard - $$$ - as I think the video is "on-chip" on the Dimension 3100 - so it may be time to consign it to the scrapheap and buy a new system if you can afford to)

After about 30 minutes the computer freezes. I just recently installed a new monitor with the drivers. I have disabled the power saver, hibernate, and anything that could cause the computer to enter sleep...

If all of this just started happening after installing the new monitor, then it's probably the drivers that were installed for your monitor conflicting with your computer. Try deleting the monitor's drivers by right-clicking 'My Computer' and selecting 'Properties'. Then, select the Hardware tab and go into Device Manager. Find the Monitors section in the list of devices and click the plus sign beside it to expand the node. Right-click the monitor there and click 'Uninstall' to remove it. Use another monitor and see if the problem still persists. If not, then you know there's a problem with the new drivers for your monitor. You'll need to contact the manufacturer to get updated drivers for it.

Hello there, I am the Expert that will be helping you today. My name is damnor01.

Welcome to Fixya.

Your Computer was Working, then components were installed. That means that either the fault was caused by the new hardware that was installed or some-thing was damaged during the installation of said component.

Now your computer is failing the Power On Self test or POST!
If it was RAM that was installed and then the computer failed in this way then one can assume that the RAM may contain a Virus.

Un-install all RAM modules and then Power on! Do you get an evenly spaced Beep, Beep, Beep.
If you do then this confirms a RAM Problem.

Install the RAM Modules one at a time in alternating slots.

Also see my published guide entitled My Computer is not turning on!!! Is it dead!!! No POST!!! for more information!!!

Thanking you very much!
Welcome again

While installing windows xp monitor went blank, cd started to blink and would not open. I was useing a crt monitor at the time due to the fact thats alli had. HELP, what's wrong

Turn off the computer. Try unseating and reseating the memory one stick at a time in each slot one at a time. After each reseat of the memory try turning on the computer and see if you get video back on the screen.

If not then try another monitor. If all that doesn't get video back on the screen then the motherboard is bad in the computer.

Installing radeon s9259 graphics card on a emachine t5010

Did you try to after you install the card to go into the control panel and install new hardware in the add new hardware. If I understand you, when you plug the monitor into the new video card it does not turn the monitor on, Even after you install the card and reboot your pc with the monitor plugged into the new device it don't come on, Make sure the old one is disabed in the device manager and it should work, If Not I need somemore information, You should not have to have changed it in the bios, you may want to change that back to the way it was, the radeon is compatible with the emachine and should work just by installing and plugging into it,Try that see what happens.Hope it helps Happy Holidays Just write back here if that don't work and I 'll figure it out for you,
