Hello! I have a DELL 1209S that the picture is wavering. Is it spring?! Some vertical lines almost invisible in the background are also perceived. What can it be?

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

  • Secure the lamp cover and the air filter cover of the projector body if the projector does not power on. Ensure that the power cable is firmly connected to the projector and an active power plug. If the projector was turned off and then on quickly--let it sit for 90 seconds before trying to turn it on.

  • 2
Replace the projection lamp if the projector will not power on or if the lamp indicator is flashing. Turn off the projector and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Locate the lamp cover and remove or loosen the lamp cover with a screwdriver. Carefully remove the projection lamp from the projector housing using the handle, if available.

  • 3
Place the new projection lamp into the projector housing and secure it to the projector. Replace the lamp cover and reset the lamp timer. Power on the projector to ensure the new lamp is working correctly.

  • 4
Remove the projector from the enclosed area to allow air circulation if it constantly overheats. Place the projector into an open area and make sure there is no blockage for the ventilation holes. Unplug the projector for at least 45 minutes to allow it to soft reset.

  • 5
Clean the air filter to allow the projector better air circulation. Turn off the projector and unplug it from the outlet. Remove the air filter cover and use a vacuum to remove dust from the area. If the filter is unable to be cleaned correctly or is damaged, then replace it. Pull the air filter from the projector and place the new one in the now empty slot. Close and secure the air filter cover.

After having the projector on for 15-20 minutes the lamp will go out for 1-2 minutes then turn back on with no intervention This will repeat at no set intervals. The projector is not quite 5 years old...

The ambient temperature in the room is to high.
Try lowering the room temperature. If that doesn't work
get a small fan and place it near the projector to provide
extra cooling. The projector is running border line on
high temperature and just needs a little extra cooling.

I have only had my sony tv for 2 half years and it needs a bloody lamp already whats going on with sony it was one of the leading companys now its gone right down hill i should not have to pay out already...

Hi I am Vortash sorry to say lamps are notoriously thee major cause for 90% of projection tv failiures , and unfortunately you can never guess how long they will last .
Yes sure they say they will run for 3000 hours but not always as factors like posistion and airflow to the set will alter the opperating characteristics of a lamp the hotter they get the shorter they last , thats why there is no guarantee with a bulb once it is out of the packet . The next bulb you buy may last 3 years or it may last 2 or even 1 , so if you want your b8ulbs to last check that your set has a good airflow around it and that the fans are working correctly , that will pro;ong the life of your bulb .. regards Vortash

Projector Lamp

Hi there

Does your Projector go in for regular services ?

Have a technician check out the fans of this unit as well.

I would suggest you hook up a UPS to this Projector , because eventhough you might not have power dips or failures - the power supplied to appliances is not spike free and Projectors struggle to handle this well.
