My computer says printer spooler is not on. How do I change this? \

3. Restart the computer and try to install the printer again.

If that doesn't work, the problem could be related to corrupted printer drivers that are installed on the computer.

Try uninstalling all printer software from the computer reboot and make afresh installaiotn of the drivers. This also include PDF writer or faxing software as well.

HI,
right click on my computer -> select manage -> one should be services and something (or something like that) open that and go to services -> find the printer spool service and right click on it -> click on properties -> in the printer spool service properites click the "Start" button and also under a drop down menu change it from "Disabled" to "Automatic".... This is what you did right ?

Log in to Administrator account and try it there. If that doesn't work then install a fresh copy of Windows Xp. It should work now. Thank you.

To make the changes double click on each item
change to automatic if diabled. Then click apply when you are done.
Restart the computer and try testing your printer again.
