Question about Digital Cameras

2 Answers

I have a kodak Easyshare C813 digital camera. My son did something to it so there was a lens error and it was loose, you could still take pictures though. My daughter took it and went to take pics and now its even worse than before, lens error 127, 0, 0, -12 on the LCD then camera shuts off. What is the usual cost of repair for this? Or would I be better off buying another camera ($100 for this one)

Is your lens clean? Are you pressing the shutter button half-way and allowing the camera to lock in the focus before pressing the rest of the way? Is the lens coming out correctly?

This is probably THE most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html

Lens problems

there is a problem wit your lens section, get it repaired with your company professionals. Your camera may be fallen or being pressed from front side by someone. The new ZOOM will give the same best result and no further problems.
