Question about Samsung Ultra Smart F700
I have recently purchased an unlocked samsung sgh-f700v used on the AT&T network. The other day the closed touch screen failed to work. This is when the unit is in closed position the touch screen will not work until the unit is opened then the touch functions normally. This was discovered just after noticing that the camera button didn't operate correctly when pushed in the closed position.
Could someone tell what may be causing my problems?
1. Lost of touch screen ability when unit is in closed position?
2. Camera app fails to launch when unit is in closed position, but operates normally when open?
One other point to make is the phone seems to crash regularly when troubleshooting camera button.
I have the same problem with my samsung SGH-F700v. When it's cloused the touch screen is not working but when it's open it works. The problem is in the cable the connects the keyboard with the screen, so you need to change it. I haven't figured out why yet, so if anyone does just reply.

Hm, this is a difficult one. I have a F700 and there is no option for it to auto lock on slide closure. U might have a different firmware so look around the settings for it. Disable it if you can find it.
This might also sound stupid but make sure the lock key on the right hand side has been slid up. Slid down locks touchscreen.
My f700 does NOT launch the camera upon pressing the camera button at home screen. It does nothing if i do that. I need to goto into the menu and then the camera for the camera button to work and to take pictures. I think this was a smart move for Samsung to design it like this. I could see myself accidently pressing that many times.
