Use a separate card reader to download your pictures.

Can't sync my camera

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Can not download pictures frm camera to pc through finepic A610

I have three camera. One is a Fuji and I love it. I find using a card reader is much better than downloading from the camera. If you know someone who has one ask to borrow it. See if it solves the problem.
Hope this helps

I am in need of a dimage software cd for a dimage 5digital camera, the current one is not opening, for instalation, I am unable to down load pictures Version 1.11windows. Compact disc, thank you for...

Alvin,

you do not need dimage software to download pictures. When you connect your camera to computer, your camera appears as a removable disk on My Computer. Acessing this disk you can copy all your pictures to a folder on your hard disk.

I need help bad please

I can only help you GOOD!

If your computer is a Windows machine - you do not need any software disk.
Windows can do it all by its self.
Simply use the supplied cord to plug the camera [making sure the camera is switched on and set to up load] to a USB socket.Windows will read the camera as a disk.
'My computer' window will show a new removable drive. that you can access , in it you will see a folder
with the name DCIM or similar - in there will be your pictures.
Windows will very often show the Camera /Scanner Wizard- asking what to do- follow the prompts and the same- you get to DCIM.
You can also down load from Google -- Picasa[ www.picasa.com] that will do it asll automatically

Two things can be done here, go out to ebay and purchase one of those card readers, or go to the manufacturer's web site and down load the software for your camera.

Software for my nikon

Hello All!

here is a easier way to view/transfer your videos/pictures.....

if your running Windows Xp or Vista great.

select your menu button on the back of the camera , then Shooting menu, then Set up, scroll down to Interface, then USB, select mass storage. press menu to exit.

turn your camera on after you connect the USB cable to your computer and camera.

a new hardware wizard should be active, Xp & vista provides the drivers and a one time deal. your camera turns into a removable hard drive or like a jump drive.

you can drag & drop the video files easily into a folder .....

If your computer is Windows ME/2000/XP/Vista you will not need a disk or its software for this function. Simply plug the camera into a USB port. make sure the camera is on ans set to upload-and Windows will put up the Camera/Scanner Wizard Simply direct the images to a suitable folder.
