Remote is Stuck in DVD 1 mode

The remote is stuck! Any Button that I press shows DVD 1. I have done everything that it says to do in the manual with NO results. I know that I have to get the remote to align with DVD 3. I am stumped on this one.

try to reset the remote,,,,press the enter key and the #3 key down together for about 10 seconds while remote is pointing at dvr....the remote should reset and in setup you should be able to change to dv3

solution to the problem is as follow:
1. press down the "ENTER" buttom and then press the "1" number buttom for about 5 seconds
2. press down the "ENTER" buttom and the "3" number for aboput 5 seconds.
This should reset the recorder to the DVD3 mode
