DPSE810EGWT need instructions to replace Part WE9M30 felt

It goes between the tabs along the circumference of the bottom of the plastic front bearing housing, then the last couple inches folds down and towards the front under and above two other tabs. When done correctly the felt will fold around the inside surface of the front of the drum like a "c"

GE DPSR483EA Electric Dryer was making a scraping sound when operating, now a felt like belt has come out on the inside of the dryer. what do i do? Kris Long

The problem is something got between the drum and the felt seal between the drum and the front of the machine. You will have to pull the front off and find out what caused the felt to come out and then put the felt back in place and put the front back on.

I have a GE profile Dryer DPSE810GOT and the dryer sounds like its running on metal to metal is the felt around the drum one piece or two and counld that cause it

The felt is two pieces. And, no, the problem is the drum support glides have worn through, allowing the drum to continue to wear into the front drum bearing. Replace the front drum bearing (WE3M26) and the drum slides (WE1M481) located at the top front of the drum.

The dryer squeals (metallic sound) while drying clothes.

check wear pads around front of drum or rear depending on brand. Ge's are particularly prone to scraping sounds, but still one of my preferred brands. IF a ge, did it get any dents around the sides or back? The drum is close to the sides and a dent in right place will do it. Also the rear panel can push the drum forward rubbing in front.
Ge - wear strips in front, plastic bearing in rear center, replace both, inexpensive.
Whirlpool- felt pad and wear strip in front, felt seal in rear with roller support. check rear seal lube rollers
Maytag -roller in front and rear with front and rear felt seals. some designs have front drum support posts with wear pads. ck these.
Frigidaire (include some sold under GE name) rear bearing cup (plastic)-lube, front feltpad with wear plates if plates gone get new pad/wearplate asm.
Maytag and ge nomenclature tags are in rear .

Whirlpool duet dryer felt seal replacement

The drum may to be removed to install the new felt gasket but the old drum can then be reinstalled. The felt gasket seals the joint where the drum rotates at the inside back panel. It is likely that the inside back panel can be removed when the dryer is placed front-down and the outside back panel is removed. In that case the drum does not have to come out.

Access the drum to replace felt

To access the drum two screws need to be removed from the inside of the door. The screws are on top of the opening and hold the top of the dryer closed. Then you simply lift the top and slide it to the left to remove it, thus revealing full access to the top of the drum. Then two screws (left and right) need to be removed in order to remove the entire front of the dryer. Once the front is removed the drum can also be removed but for the purpose of replacing the felt removal of the drum is not neccessary. It should be noted that the felt sits only around the bottom of the drum and covers just over half of the circumferance of the drum. The felt should be position in around the opening of the inside part of the door. When replacing the front cover the drum will fit snuggly up against the felt. Replace screws, top and door screws and walla...fixed!

Ge dryer started making a loud rubbing sound

Sounds Like the drum is scraping. You can remove the drum and inspect the felt bearing/gasket for damage or a coin or screw that got lodged in it. You will need to remove Top and front in order to remove drum Carefully note the routing of the belt near the moter.

Frigidaire crown series dryer

The back of the drum has a hub (a flat steel piece with a shaft and ball) which allows the drum to turn. That ball rides in a plastic "cradle". Unfortunately on the crown series...if the ball and cradle are not greased regularly, the plastic wears. This allows the drum to "sag". The front end of the drum is lower than the back. You can confirm this by running your finger around the front of the drum. You'll notice that the top of the drum is almost flush with the body of the dryer and the bottom of the drum is 3/4 of an inch lower that the the body. This allows clothes to slip into the gap at the bottom and then they are spen to the top pof the drum were the lodge between the body and the top of the drum. The turning drum burns the clothing. Replace the plastic piece that the hub rides in.
