Yes all wires need to be removed that run from the metal encased chassis the four boards that have bad caps are all located in that metal encased chassis. The FMT, DM, Singal and Power PCBs

I installed a new lamp lamp starts to lite for 4 ot 5 seconds and goes out ,then lamp lite comes on

Most of the time it is bad capacitors in the power supply. These will be obvious from the tops of the capacitors being bulged up. The power supply is located on the front of the chassis cluster and is the only easy to get to board. You will have to remove a shield cover to get access to it. Getting the chassis cluster out is a major job by it's self. After removing the screws from the back, you need to remove the secondary back shield. The chassis cluster is on you left side. You will need to take the mounting screws out. There are 3 on the left on the bottom side and getting to them may require a stubby phillips screw driver. There are 2 at the bottom facing the back of the set and there is one at the top facing the back of the set. next you need to remove the the black data cables from the top of the chassis at the back of the set on the left near the fan. Next you need to loosen the wire harness wire assembly thar goes to the optical block. There is also a power wire cable that goes to the fan that is mounted to the secondary back shield. This needs to be disconnected. The chassis cluster should be able to be removed by pulling lightly making sure that no wire harness gets stressed. There should be 5 or 6 screws securing the power supply shield. Once the shield is remove, it is pretty easy to remove the power supply. It is mounted on it's side and should have 5 or 6 screws holing it in place. I would replace any capacitor that has a bulging top. The values are important and should be matched accordingly. Make sure you replace the capacitors in the correct position noting the dot indicates the negative leg position. Reinstall the board, chassis, and all plug connectors before applying power and turning on.
I hope this helps,

no the boards are located inside the metal chassis block which is located on the left side looking in from the rear. You can get the service manual at the following link which will help you get the chassis out and help you identify the circuit board locations. Its under the mitsubishi category.

Wd52725 cap replacement

The power pwb is on the opposite end of the chassis opposite the Input locations. I believe on tha model the plu assembly gets removed from the case and stays with the chassis block. I believe CN1 and CN2 are the ballast connections you need to remove a metal shield on the ballast Circuit to see the connections.

Sony HS30 Convergance Issue

The STK ICs are located on the D board their locations are IC801 and IC 802 they are both STK392-560 and you will only have to remove the D board. Usually only 1 or 2 resistors go bad right next to the ICs heatsink. You can get replacements at the following link and they include installation instruction plus free tech support heres the link.

Just fixed it!!! Remove the back panel from the television, you will see a board where the input jacks are located. To the left you will notice a red power wire. Just up and to the right approx 7" or so you will see a [_] shaped metal shield surrounding a capacitor in the middle of it. The part # on the board is CP150. It is a green/gold 16v 2200uF capacitor. More than likely this capacitor is faulty. Run your finger over the top of the capacitor, if it is beveled rather than smooth you have a definite solution to your problem. You may need to remove the plastic piece that covers the transformer to the left of the capacitor to gain easy access. Good luck!!

Removing chassis for carry to repair shop

its called the light box and it secured by 4-6 screws from front and rear of the chassis frame assy./when you locate these screws that secure the frame it will pull out from the rear, caution don't break the front harness to the control panel assy. pull off the front and you will see how the chassis is supported to the tv frame and also remove the rear panel ,look at the metal frame as a box.
