Yes before you format goto control panel and then system an open up device manager and get a list of the devices an drivers you will need or remove your cards and look at each one for id. Not all drivers are on the windows install disk. And then go to the download the drivers you will need to reinstall here is a good site for this http://driversguide.com/ membership is free. Any further help with drivers get back an good luck hope this helps you some.

Hi jimmy rua,
DO you know your motherboard model? if you do, you can go over google and search for their site and surely they have all the drivers you need,

if you don't know, try to open up your pc and look at your motherboard and see if you can get the model,

if still unable to see it.download this software here from another computer and run it on your pc, and just click on the motherboard tab and you will see it there... :)
here is the link:

http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php
click the link at the left part that says 1.45

hope it helps.

How do i replace hard drive on my acer veriton 3600gt

Depending on the hard drive, it may need to be 'initialized' before the computer can recognize it. This is best done by putting the hard drive in a working computer and going to, if using Windows, right-click My Computer, select Manage and clicking Disc Management where you will see the uninitialized drive.
You will need to create a partition and format it. Then your Acer should see it.
If you don't have a second computer then you will need to insert an operating installation disc in the drive and have that operating system's software format the disc.

Bootmgr is missing/dc5700

What do you mean by installing driver after format?
Format is a command that destroy all the data on your harddisk and creates new file system. This means that if you have formated your harddisk it is more or less probable that you don't have operating system anymore, so there is nothing to boot.
I need more information to help you.

I was given a computer with a homemade tower... I need to factory reset it but don't know how??

Basically you need the Windows installation CD plus the product installation code. Boot up with the Windows installation CD to install Windows on the hard disk, follow the on screen instructions - delete the existing Windows partition, create a new partition and format the new partition (full NTFS format - not a quick format) and continue with the installation.
Next you need to install the motherboard device drivers, you can download them from the motherboard manufacturer's WEB site from a computer with internet access. Copy these drivers onto an USB memory stick and insert this memory stick into you PC tower and install these drivers.
After installing these drivers you can now connect to the Internet to activate your Windows, You can activate Windows over the phone.

Hp dc5800 recovery cd lost ibought new hd how could i make new recovery partition in the new hd?

There isn't any way to build a new recovery partition on a new empty hard drive. The recovery partition is put on when the drive is imaged at the manufacturer, but you don't have any source to copy from. If you don't have a recovery disc set, you have two options. The first option is to see if HP sells a recovery disc for your computer. It's unlikely, and expensive if they do have them available.

The second option is to do a fresh installation of Windows yourself. This is a little more work, but it's not difficult. You'll need a copy of Windows, the same version that came installed on the computer. (For a Vista machine, you just need the "Anytime Upgrade" DVD, which has all the Vista versions on it.) You'll also need to download any hardware drivers needed from HP's website. The installation is mostly automatic; you just need to enter the product key at some point, and you'll find that on the Windows sticker on the computer case. After Windows is done installing, install the hardware drivers and activate Windows. (When the recovery partition or a restore disc is used, the activation is automatic.)

No sound in Windows XP. Cannot set volume in the Sound and Audio Devices

That is because the sound driver is not properly installed on your computer. No need to worry, if you have the driver disc that came with your computer, just insert it to install the driver. If you don't have the driver, right click the my computer icon and select properties. Then click on the device manager button. There will be a list of hardware components installed on your computer. Under that, click on "Sounds, video and game controller" and right click and select update driver.

Also check the option connect to the internet option so that the driver will be installed by searching from the internet.

Muhaim

I'd like to format my dimension 9200 desktop and want to know If there is an installed utility to do this? All I found was the driver reset tool.

In order to format a computer you need a operating system disc, like Windows XP, Vista, Linux, etc. Pop the disc in, restart, and boot from the disc. Enless you have a recovery partition then you just hit the key when the bios comes up, or the boot loader for recovery.
