Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Mitsubishi wd52525 capacitors

I have the TV disassembled, but am having a hard time removing the electrical chassis. I have it unscrewed, but what do I need to disconnect in order to remove it, and once removed, where are the capacitors located?
It seems that maybe I need to just disconnect all the electrical connections to the front of the TV from the electric chassis.. Is this what I need to do? I am just trying to fix this thing on my own without having to pay some repairman 100's of dollars.. Thanks...

Well capacitors are located on the chassis but only the high voltage capacitor can cause electric shock, dont be afraid,u can discharge the current on it.

How do i disassemble the frame on my dp65g hitachi tv?

lots of screws to be removed. First the rear cover comes off, then the front bottom section must be unscrewed. Remove all screws behind the front plastic section. From the rear, now remove the light engine & chassis to gain access to the 4 hidden screws. Once this is done the front bezel can then be removed.

Where are tha capacitors fo misubishi wd62725 located

1. If you haven't done so already... Unlplug the TV!
2. Remove the rear lower outside panel using a phillips screw driver. Set the panel aside somewhere where it won't get tripped over and broken.
3. Remove the screws from the lower metal panel that hides the electronics and connections. When removing this panel from the back of the TV, there will be an exhaust fan attached. You will need to disconnect the fan's connector in order to set it aside to get it out of the way. Take note that all the connectors inside the TV except for one on mine had the ends labeled with a code so that they could be matched up when it comes time to plug things back in. Just make sure that when you're disconnecting the connectors that you number them or code them if they aren't already marked as there are probably 10+ connectors that will need to be undone in order to get the electrical chassis out.
4. Remove the big metal plate on the left side of the electronics chassis. This will help you get the electronics chassis out of the TV.
5. Slide the TVs power cable up and out of the slot that holds it in place. This will also give you slack to move the electronics chassis out of the TV so you can work on it.
6. Unplug the USB and Firewire connectors from the top of the electronics chassis.
7. Carefully slide the electronics chassis away from the TV. Take note that you will have to start to disconnecting connections now in order to get the chassis out of the TV, I didn't fully remove mine from the TV. There were just too many connections that needed to be undone. So what I did was undo enough of them so that I could set it on a chair, but still connected to the TV.
8. Now the electronics chassis is out so we can work on it. Remove the protective metal housing from the electronics chassis and expose the circuit boards.
9. Now you should be able to see your circuit boards. There are typically two boards that have bad capacitors on them. One is called the DM board and the other the Power board. The DM is the hard one to get to as its the middle board of three. When accessing this board, be extremely careful of the ribbon cables at the bottom and sides of the boards. They can easily be broken, torn, etc... Again, take note of the connections you have to remove and make sure they're labeled. Take a picture of things if you need too.
10. Now that you can see the capacitors on the DM Board, look for a grouping of capacitors:
11. Now look at the Power board. Its the board on the back of the electronics chassis. There are two capacitors to look for here: Photo of Power Board Capacitors Are these bulging or leaking? If so, they'll need to be replaced. Look for others while you're here. I ordered mine from mouser using this part#: Mouser Power Board Capacitors Link
12. Once you have the capacitors replaced. Button everything back up and hope for the best.

How to i remove the factory stereo from a 2002 honda accord

1) Pry out the clock with a fine screwdriver, it has no screws, take care not to mar the fascia, disconnect both plugs.
2) Take out the radio/ ac fascia by unscrewing the screw that was hidden behind the clock, and the 2 screws at the bottom of fascia
3) Take out the factory radio by unscrewing the whole chassis that supports the radio (4 screws at the corners) . Most stereo replacements will fit into this chassis too. Unplug the connectors, and the antenna plug.
Avoid cutting the cables. Use plug converters whenever possible. This will avoid speaker polarity problems, as well as night lighting, power antenna, memory power feed mix-ups .
4) Dismount the factory radio from the chassis (tray?), in order to reuse it.

How to open a asus k501 notebook to replace hard drive

I take it you've not seen one of these laptops. The only available opening on the bottom is the battery compartment. You literally have to disassemble the chassis to get the hard drive out.

In what order do I need to disassemble my 1999 Chevy Lumina to change the battery and add an inline disconnect switch as the car sits for long periods of time without being started. Thanks, Ron

You'll need to remove the cross bar and the air filter box. You can then remove the washer fluid reservoir. Then disconnect the negative cable and the positive cable from the battery. Remove the battery hold down and then the battery can be removed.

As far as installing a battery disconnect they are all a little different so without seeing what you have it would be hard to describe how to install it.

Mitsubishi DLP, green blinking timer light, tv won't come on,

This Chassis has been known for a slew of Capacitors failing throughout many of the Circuit Boards. The best way in my opinion to fix the set is to send the Chassis Assy to Mitsubishi for them to rebuild it. Some folks have has some success in replacing the bad Capacitors in the Power Supply, the DM Board, and the Format Board to get the set to turn on. These Capacitors are identifiable because the tops of them are bulging up.
It is a difficult set to work on and disassemble, this is Mitsubishi's Customer Service Number in case you need assistance. 1800-332-2119
I hope this helps,

Tape will not play and will not eject from my Magnavox VCR plus. I can't get any message to come up on the screen. The little video cassette in the upper left hand corner flashes, I have four dashes across...

Try first to unplug and replug after a few minutes. If this fails disassembly and physical removal is the only way. The tape may also be dammaged. In order to disassemble unplug and remove back cover, Remove (label)all connectors between vcr assembly - bottom section - and TV ***'y unscrew the two deep seated screws holding the VCR to the front chassis, remove the top lid with boards, Check to see if the tape is wound around the head (aluminum cylinder) and remove any obstacles or unwind if tape is bunched up. On the right side back there is a gear (wormwheel) that can be moved in a direction that unloads the tape from the head and cassete basket.
This is a big job even for an experienced tech and if you want to salvage the tape would be best left to proffesional. If you feel comfortable going as far as suggested post back here and I'll help along the way.
