As I search the internet I found out no replacement for this kind of the adaptor model number 090-02180-13, there are some people looking for this kind of adaptor is a faulty a pervasive problem with the TV. There are literally hundreds of complaints on the internet. Most deal with a faulty AC Adaptor and the inability of the company to provide a replacement part.
I have a solution for this adaptor problem we better improvised the parts inside. The faulty parts of this adaptor arise in the transformer. This transformer is easily to burnt because of lower amperage. So we make it higher amperage so it can resist the load heat and cannot burnt easily.
Maybe you can do this for yourself, open the adaptor case, when open already look for the transformer, the visual picture of transformer is a bulky metal with many windings. Take this out and bring it to electronic shop that know how to rewind a transformer. Tell them to reworks or rewind the transformer, only the output voltage will be change input is the same. This is the

    NEW SPECIFICATION:

    • INPUT 100-240 V
    • OUTPUT + 24VOLT DC AT 12 AMP
    • 12VOLT AT 6 AMP.
This is the result of new specification when the reworks or rewind is finish ,put it back to the adapter box,and then you can use it.This is higher amperage I mean it to you before,it can resist overheating. If ever happens that you can't find in your place know how to do reworks of the transformer here in philippines i do the rewind or reworks of the transformer ,but the problem is.very far to your place it needs shipment to carry this out .I price you 120 dollars including shipment and i assure it to you that adaptor will last long because of higher amperage .
When i search i found a site that can make an ac adaptor only you give the new specification and give where you are using the adaptor give the brand name PLTV-32 and they will make it..try this option also ..LCDPAYLESS.COM

Lcdpayless com.they are only makers of ac adaptor. They will makes only what you order and they follow only according to your design and specification.
Its happen you bought from them before, the original PROTRON company specification is very faulty one,it is easely to burnt the transformer inside causing failed to work due to lower amperage rate only 6 ampere for 24volts and 3ampere for 12volts , lower amperage rate cannot hold overheating load ,for a long period of time ,just only three months and failed to work ,this is what happen to your adaptor and now we are looking for higher amperage value.
But this time i give you already new design specification that you are going to order from them. Double amperage value compare it before . Strong enough to supress or resist overheating problem. Lcdpayless e-mailed me that they can make the new specification what im asked to them. This is very defferent what you bought before ,this is already improvised ,with higher amperage..this is made to order..
just contact Kenny Hu his e-mail add --huwb@lcdpayless.com
tell him about my order of PLTV-32 with new specification, by lacaron tito with e-mail add lacarontito@yahoo.com
      NEW SPECIFICATION::
      INPUT :100 -240V 50 / 60 Hz,3.0 max
      OUTPUT:+24volts at 12ampere
      +12volts at 6ampere

      this specification must be follow;;

feel free to ask for further assistance in keep sending more question in comments or doubts that arise your mind regarding this to me.......

The problem might on on your inverter board or the back light is busted.

1.Check for the input supply of the inverter board. the supply must be 24V of 12V use a multimeter range on DC

2.Then if you have input voltage (24V or 12V), check for the output of the inverter board it should have 500VDC.

    3. If the output is present , the problem might be on the back light. Replace it, its available on electronic shop.

    Hope this may help you

Model # TH-42PX80U tv was on when a storm hit 'lightning' , on lite only blinks... is it a fuse ? or mother board?

You are better off replacing the power supply board. Usually the mother board will output a power ok signal to turn on the TV only when the power supply is working correctly (all voltages are within specs), similar to a computer, having said so, if you have the schematics you can verify those voltages being output from the power supply upon depressing the power button. The +5v stand by voltage is most likely ok, since the mother board is at least providing you with the blinking light. It is the +12V and +24V which are not being output, along with any other auxiliary voltages. I would suggest either having a replacement board (power PCB) installed or otherwise feeding the needed voltages by substituting those missing ones with a variable DC power supply, just to verify it. Follow above only if familiar with electronics and electricity. safety first!.

How can I operate my LG 26LE5300 LED LCD TV in my motorhome the most direct way possible (i.e....without an inverter)? This low power (40-50 watts) TV has an external brick to convert 120 AC to it's...

    1) You need to look at the output current rating (AMP) of this AC to 24dc adapter, this 24vdc adapter is a regulated switching power supply that will maintain 24vdc output up the maximum current rating and also has shutdown circuits if the over current draw is detect and also if the output voltage goes up beyond 24vdc to protect the load (TV).

    2) To use 12vdc to 24vdc DC-DC booster, it should have the following spec:

    A) The output current rating should be at least 20% higher than the load requires to give its head room.
    B) It must have regulated output that will maintain the 24vdc when the input (12vdc) will vary from 10vdc ~16vdc or higher since your batteries will not maintain exact 12vdc all the time.
    C) It must have good protection circuits that will protect it self from reverse polarity connections, shorted output protection, over voltage output protection.
    D) It should provide AC ripple spec on the 24vdc output, it should be in the milli-volt range (you will always get AC ripple riding on top of DC when you rectify the AC into DC).

These are the minimum requirement for your DC to DC booster, which you need to protect your TV and your motor home from burning down.
I hope I explain it OK to you.

I believe this is what you're looking for:

Unfortunately, Protron went bankrupt and had very poor support for their televisions and did not sell parts to dealers etc so it is extremely difficult to come across parts. According to this website, you could repair it for much cheaper than normal. otherwise purchase from ebay. (:

July 1, 2009- I need to replace my burn-out ac

Try website. - http://www.lcdpayless.com I placed my order on Thursday and went out of town for the 4th and I checked my mail today (Monday) and it was there. I plugged it in, the power came on and the tv works perfectly....plus the new cord doesn't have an annoying fan.

The cord is pricey at $117, but it beats buying a new tv. The company accepts returns minus a 20% restocking fee and shipping, so I figured worse case scenario I would only be out of $40+bucks if it didn't work and I had to send it back. Hope this helps!!!

AC ADAPTOR FOR PROTON 32 LCD

    Hi and welcome to FixYa,

To my understanding, any power adapter would serve the purpose as long as the replacement adapter have the same specification as that of the original. Pls confirm, 100-240V 50-60HZ 3.0A max. output +25 6A +12 3A. The only limiting factor is that the plug/connector should fit the jack of the TV unit.

Having said that, then most electronics store would have a generic replacement. You can even look for replacement from computer stores. Over the counter sale would not need a PayPal account, and cash sale would of course not require a credit card. It would be to your advantage to bring along the original/defective with you to compare/as per sample.

Good luck and thank you fur using FixYa.
