I have Tasco Offshore 21 binoculars, that are out of alignment. Can I repair them?? Or do I need a PRO??


All Tasco Warranty is now ceased and it is a new ABO (USA) policy will be in effect as follows.
  • ABO (USA) will promptly repair or replace, as it deems most suitable at our option, the product which is defective in workmanship at the nominal cost of $35.00 per unit, within the continental USA, to cover for basic repair and return shipping & handling costs. Make your check payable to ABO (USA), INC.
  • New policy of ABO (USA) does not cover the parts, defects caused by improper handling, installation, maintenance, abnormal use, alteration, wear and tear or accident. You will be advised of the additional cost prior to any repair.
  • All costs associated with the shipment of the product to ABO (USA) are the responsibility of the product owner.

Its easier to explain seeing a diagram. Go to Tascos website and download the instruction manual for the Offshore binoculars or Steiner Optic website and download the general binoculars instruction manual. It has all of Steiners models incuding those with a reticle. Most reticles are the same and there is no difference between meters and yards as your calculations are an approximate

BINOCULAR ALIGNMENT


Up close to the eyepieces under the material that covers the binocs. You have to peel away at the material to get to them, or look for the splice in the material which is very hard to see.
