How does one change the language on the e260 from any of the other languages it comes up in back to ENGLISH??? Some dolt said fixing would be easy to do with minor persistence. If that was the case I would have been done with it 3 hours ago. On this unit persistence is NOT the answer

Learn Thai or whatever, and this time get the right menu. The menu's in the same place.... This is something you can fix with minor persistence of course; otherwise at least drop a picture of your screen in your query, and you might be able to skip the perfectly cool emergent language lessons.

Just bought scan disk clip+ but is not in english and do not know language or how to change to english?

You should select Settings from the Main Menu then select language. If your player is set to a totally unknown language for you try it that way that you listen to the sequential of the possibilities using the manual which is here:

Good luck!

The menu is in a foreign language, which I can't read. How do I return it to English?

Turn on your clip
Go to settings (the eq symbol)
scroll to system settings
scroll to lanquage
Change to english

If you are unable to decipher the current foreign lanquage enough to find these menu options

Update the firmware again and you will be presented with the choice during the update process

Good luck!

How do I change the language

You can go one of three ways. From the music/headphones icon, press down 3x (to get to settings); right 1x (to enter settings); down to the fourth option/line (observe the scroll bar to make sure you count from the very top) right 1x (to enter the languages menu). You will find your own language in plain text. It should work unless your setup is different or I miscounted somewhere. If that doesn't work, try updating the firmware. By doing that, it will ask you which language you would like to use on your Clip. If either of those do not work, plug your Clip into the computer. Then go to my computer under the start menu, find your mp3 player under the list (should be under 'devices with removable storage', or something to that effect). Right click on the mp3 player icon, and click "format". Go with the format it suggests, then reinstall the firmware from there. It will be like starting from square one.

Sansa clip needs to be in english

Get the full user's manual from Sandisk's website, and go down the various menus the exact # of times indicated by the manual. Or, upgrade the firmware - the firm upgrade is in English.

Re-run the firmware upgrade from the Sansa website - as long as you pick the English firmware upgrade, it will have the effect of resetting your player.

Language in zen

To reset the language displayed on a ZEN player to English, change the language back to English or run Cleanup from the player.
For detailed instructions on how to access the Recovery Mode of a MP3 player, please see Recovery Mode: What to Do and How to Access.
If the player is a flash based player, such as a ZEN Nano, ZEN Nano Plus or MuVo, the language can be reset by manually changing the language or updating the firmware. To manually change the language:
  1. Press the scroll wheel to access the main menu.
  2. Scroll to the Settings option (the icon looks like a gear).
  3. Scroll to the Language option (the icon looks like a pearson speaking).
For detailed instructions on how to update the firmware of a MP3 player, please see Updating the Firmware on a Creative MP3 Player.
