Question about Crosley CAWC529JQ Top Load Washer
I just bought a used washing machine and it has several different water level selections. x-small small medium large and x-large. when i try to put it on large or x-large it starts filling but will keep filling but not turn off. the water level only comes up to half of the basket, but it will drain out so it doesn't go past that. what is wrong?

SOURCE: Washer did not spin
IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU GOT TAKEN ON THIS WASHER. A NEW WASHER NORMALY WORKS, BUT IN SOME INSTANCES, LIKE YOUR CASE, IT COULD BE THE BELT OR THE MOTOR COUPLING. WHAT I WOULD DO IS CALL THE PLACE WHERE YOU GOT YOUR WASHER FROM AND HAVE THEM TO BRING YOU A NEW REPLACEMENT. THERE HAVE BEEN COMPLAINTS ABOUT WASHING MACHINES NOT WORKING RIGHT WHEN THEY WERE NEW. I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU AND ANYBODY ELSE WHO READS THIS WEBSIT, BECAUSE THERE IS NO SENSE IN THE STORE SELLING A BRAND NEW WASHER WHEN IT ALREADY LEAKS.

looking at the rear of the washer, my Crosley drain is on the left, about 4" from the floor and about 6" from the side. You might need to remove the back panel. Probably should anyway, so you can blow the dust/lint out of it

My Crosley Cw6000 wash will not spin the water out, I lift the lid to watch the spin cycle, it spins but the water does not drain..

Use a putty knife to open the top lid and fold it back. Locate the lid switch. Unplug the washer. Remove the wires from the lid switch. Use a volt meter set for continuity and test the lid switch terminals. If they are open,no reading replace the switch. For a test you can jump the lid switch wires together, set the washer to spin and turn it on. If it spins it confirms a bad lid switch.
