Lets start with the obvious question ? Do you have a disk that may have come with it ?

If not, then go to the support site ( I am assuming HP) and you can download the drivers for your printer there.

Xerox Phaser 6280 Y CRUM ERROR

The yellow cartridge either has a corrupted chip, or the wrong chip, or its a cartridge from a different model of printer.

Xerox 6180 and 6280 cartridges LOOK the same, apart from the label and part number - the chip is different.

HP 6280 Printer. Not printing. Ran diagnostics form HP software. No issues. Printer an computer are communicating. Can run alignment test and Diagnostic Print Page from computer without issue. ...

Well you definitely have a pc problem and not one of the printer. the printer just prints what it is sent and as you can print the alignment page that takes care of the printer.

You have reinstalled the driver but did you remove the old one first? I bet not. You should download the hp printer removal tool. Run it and after a restart then you can install the driver. Personally i would turn off the auto update feature as hp updates really mess things up.

I reckon after the reinstall the printer will be fine.

can u locate the download made?
if no then go to drive C and locate a folder called "downloads" it would be there.
if the download u made has a setup.exe hurry.double click it to lunch and follow the instruction to complete setup, make sure you select the option make printer default.
note some printer require u to cornet it to the computer before running setup.exe others do not but require it during the installation process. so read the instruction well.
But if the driver only unzips then you have unzip and follow this process.
go to printers and devices ,(with XP you will find it on the start menu, vista and win 7 it wold be in the control panel) .Click on add printer and follow the the option that lets you install from a selected/advance location by you.depending on the OS you are using you have to browse for the advance location or click next for that locate the unzipped driver, click the browse button and locate drive C the driver will be listed select the folder and click next to install the driver.

you can also get the driver at this location

I asked the same thing of HP Technical Support. The user guide isn't very helpful. Envelopes and manual paper feeding go into the gray tray. The blue tray is only for photos.

I'm running 10.4 on a mac titanium notebook trying to hook up an HP4550 using ethernet. I've downloaded the latest drivers for the HP4550 and installed the printer using the Add Printer utility in the...

Open the Printer Setup Utility in System Preferences:
  1. In the Printer List window that opens, click on the Add Printer button.
  2. A new window shade will appear:

  3. Make sure that the IP Printer tab at the top of the window is selected (instead of the Default Browser tab).
  4. Make sure HP Jet Direct - Socket is selected in the Protocol pull-down menu.
  5. In the Address field, type the queue name (e.g., plib3a). When you have finished typing the queuename, the message "Incomplete or invalid address" will disappear or may be replaced by "Complete and valid address."
  6. Leave the Queue Name field blank.
  7. Type in where the printer is located in the Location field.
  8. From the Print Using pull-down menu, select the printer manufacturer. A new area with a list of possible models will appear. Select your printer model. If the printer's model is not listed, select Generic in the Print Using field.
  9. Click Add.
  10. Depending on the printer added, a Printer Browser window may appear. If you have a duplex printer, check Duplex Unit. Leave all other fields unchanged and click Continue.
  11. The window shade will disappear, and the new printer will appear in the list of printers in the Printer List window.
