I have a MTX Thunder 81001 car amp in my repair shop. It has power but no sound, what can i do to repair this amp?

You can open it up and smell for any burned components. Once you identify the burned resistor, transistor, capacitor try to replace it with the same value in RADIO SHACK. Also check for burned out tracers on the circuit board. Thats when the copper etching on the board has literally melted away. You reconnect it by soldering small wires and bridge the connections back together. Need solder and soldering Pen. The soldering gun is too strong and may do more damage to the circuit board if used to long.

Burned up

You can try opening it up check the circuit board and see what capacitor burned up or other resistors, transistors got burned and go to Radio Shack and solder the new one to replace the burned one. Or if you still have the reciept return it to the manufactorer and hope it has a 1 year Extended service protection on it so they can replace it.

Formula MACH-6000 nothing happens

well im not sure ifyou have seen into an amp case but its quite complicated if you havent got the electrical exprience as the pros do but it could be as simple as finding the blown component and replacing it however when something blows it doesnt mean that its visable, this is where either a multi meter or load tester comes into play, so yea it can be complicated.

I rekon if its a good amp it could be worth it have a look in google and find specs

Sorry this is the best i can do without looking at it

Sir i have seriouse Problem

I can't find any information on that model. My suggestion is to hook it up and see how it preforms. You will know right away if you were lied to. Please remember to leave good feedback.

Amp has burned up

You'll need to replace all three transistors and any other in the same line (unless they're divided by high power diodes). Make sure you check all resistors before replacing anything. Search www.digikey.com for parts, they should have the exact transistors-just put the numbers on the transistors into the search field.
