Question about KitchenAid KSRB25FKSS Side by Side Refrigerator
I am not getting water in the ice tray. I am doing my process of eliminations. I started by manually putting some water into the ice tray and to see if the icemaker makes its cycle as it does by kicking the ice out, but do not refill the tray with water. Then I went to the back of the frig, and disconnected the supply line to the icemaker and blew into it to see if it was frozen or plugged and it was not. So I installed a new water valve and that still did not produce water in the tray. So now I am thinking what the chances are of a new valve being defective and if not what signals the valve to release water to the tray. I replaced the icemaker unit just over 2 years ago and could it be that short of a life on these? Any help or advice would be appreciated.
