the defrost drain is stopped up...the simplest way to start is to remove food, unplug frig and open both doors for 24 hrs. a fan blowing into ref will help this process. after 24 hrs remove the shelving so you can get to the back panel... there will be 3 screws 1 on the bottom left and 1 on the bottom right corners, the 3rd is located about 2/3 of the way up the panel in the center. this screw has a square plug covering it.. after screw removal "pop" the cover being careful of the wiring at the top, after unplugging the 2 plugs set panel to the side out of the way.... now you are looking at the evaporator, just under the evap you should see a hole, this is the defrost drain.. if there is any ice in the trough remove it, with hot water if need be. once the drain is open pour 2-3 glasses of hot water down the drain to flush out.. if water wont pour through drain, I use air pressure to clear drain, if u don't have an air tank you can use a hose that you blow through to clear drain.......I hope this helps.......Ken
Hi Is your fridge compressor motor working and can you hear it turn on and off every hour or so. Not to be confused with the sound coming from the fan inside the fridge. If the motor is working but neither the fridge or freezer compartment are getting cold, then there may have been a rupture during transport and gas has escaped. Ash
Your drain is plugged. Basically the freezer goes into defrost and melts frost off the condenser coils. A big piece most likely fell off and freezer came out of defrost before it coulld melt and drain out completely. To fix you have 2 options. Have towels
#1- move contents of fridge and freezer to a backup fridge. Leave unpluged with doors slightly opened for 24 to 48 hrs. Use towels to cleanup any water. Plug back in wait 2 hrs to make sure temp gets back down before putting contents back in fridge.
#2- Remove contents from fridge and put in ice chest. Have towels ready. Remove ice maker ( if there is one) usually two screws on top hard to see and one on bottom. Disconnect the quick connect for the ice maker. Remove screw on back wall. Be careful when removing air vent on back wall. Its plastic and can break. Remove back panel. Look on the silver plate under coils and you will see ice and where the drain is. Remove ice than pour hot hot water down drain until it flows freely into drain pan under fridge by compressor. It may look like there is not ice make sure othyerwise you will be doing this all over again in a few days. Once water flows freely put everything back together wait about 2 hrs for freezer temp to get cold enough and than you can put contents back in freezer. If you have any question or need help please feel free to comment me back.
the way that works is if you set the fridge area vent wide open and freezer at 4. then you have called for most of all the cold air to blow from the freezer in to the cooler area. this causes the cooler area to be to cold. go the other way with the fresh food setting and give it 48 hrs.
Mark Remove the rear panel in freezer. Apply 3n1 oil to fan motor shaft and plug in and spin. I believe they left the freezer shut and the moisture froze the shaft on fan with rust. Once restarted you will be fine. Sea Breeze
portable air conditioners mainly have two hoses one hose is exhaust thats the one that is blowing hot air. the one pulling is return.. the hot air blowing out should be exhausted to the outside. the blowing air needs a hose and to be laid out a window the back should have model and serial maybe product number. the two holes are either 4 inch or three inch and most portable units other than hand me downs come with a window frame that allows the hot exchanged air to go outside and cooler air to be used for heat exchange.
Using the blow dryer is a common option but sometimes could be dangerous to certain machines. There is always a button to blow hot air for unclogging the ice in the freezer. But the best option is to turn the entire fridge off for at least 4-5 hrs. This keeps the internal machine safe from being damaged. Also the items in the fridge will not be damaged as cooling effect inside the fridge will be maintained for at least 6 hrs after the power is cut-off.Good luck with the machine and hope the answer is helpful.
check in frezzerto see if your evap fan is blowing if not need to replace it if its is u will have a defrost problem u can unplug for 4 or 5 hrs with doors open to defrost itsself . plug back in will work fine till u can replasce heater and tsat.
