Insignia kix mp3 player gets stuck during making playlist screen.

    I have the same problem. When I turn the MP3 player on, the menu screen never comes up. The "Making Playlist" screen comes on instead, so I am unable to do anything.

Just format it. It'll delete all you've got on the mp3, but it'll work.

I can't format my Insignia Kix


To erase all files on your player, go to Now Playing, then Audio, then System, then Erase All and select Yes. Make sure that your files are backed up before you begin! If needed, you can find a copy of the owner's manual here.

Insignia 1GB Kix mp3 player works in Mac OS 9, but not OS X Tiger


try using another usb port my macbook sometimes doesn't recognize my USB ports.

Or you could use parallels and run windows

There are songs on my mp3 that i dont want..


1. Plug your Kix MP3 player into the USB port. 2. In Windows, open File Explorer (right-click Start, select Explore). 3. In File Explorer, open Insignia KIX, Fixed Storage, Music. 4. Select and delete any undesired songs and/or folders, except the Music folder.

The LCD is failing. Take it back to Best Buy and they'll either repair or replace it.
